Brilliant. Does everything well.

Brilliant lens. Does everything well. I was looking for a lens for my Sony A7R4 that would give me the same confidence I have in my Leica Summilux 35/1.4 ASPH v.2 on my Leica Type 246. I believe this lens is that lens. If it were as small and light as the Summilux, it would be perfect, but by modern standards it's not too bad, and it may very well be a better lens in every way than the Summilux. That's a huge accomplishment.

Pros: Wonderfully sharp, even wide open, at every distance. Low abberations. Pleasant focus transitions for a sharp, aspherical lens. Very close focusing. Quick, accurate auto-focus. Excellent ergonomics, including hood design. Excellent MF feel for this type of lens.

Cons: A little heavier and bigger than I like, though not by modern standards. Default color a little warmer than I like.
