These Sony speakers went into my 06 Jeep Wrangler. They sound very good and music highs and AM radio voices sound clear. If you like boom boom bass, these speakers are just too small for that. Yet the sound is balanced, if slightly to bright. Not too bright, just brighter than you may be used too. Still, for the Crutchfield price, and the installation goodies, well worth considerating.
Pros: Value, clear sound. Crutchfield installation goodies make it a breeze in 2006 Jeep Wrangler..
Cons: If you are looking for boom boom bass, get a subwoofer..these are just too small to generate it.

I replaced the factory speakers inside my RV. Those speakers produced sound as though they were operating from inside a "shoe box". The sound from my new Sony speakers is outstanding, and were a perfect fit. No modifications to the RV was necessary to install the speakers. Great price and great fit. What more could I ask for.

Ordered them, got them in 2 days but they don't fit my car even close. Said they fit the fronts in a 2002 wrx, way to small even with included brackets. Tried them in the rear and they are to big lol never was able to test them out.

After reading reviews I was excited to put these in the Jeep roll bar. Unfortunately, they were no better than the stock speakers. Purchased a new set from Crutchfield, and will be returning these.
Pros: Additional items provided free with speakers worked well.

Sounds better than the pioneer 3way. Highs are louder and more crisp thanks to the super tweeter. Was able to adjust eq on my pioneer head unit for better sound. Highs hurt my ear, but i turn it up anyways. This is cost less than the pioneer and in my opinion is overall better.

2002 Subaru Impreza WRX
Paired with Sony WX-920BT headunit with extra bass feature. Nothing too special definitely worth the price if your speakers are old, outdated, blown, etc. They get a little distorted at high volumes but they're just loud enough for me. Decent bass, but nothing crazy again. When I use the extra bass feature on my head unit it distorts at a lower volume then with the extra bass off. At regular volume it can give decent sound and bass though. I was not happy with the bracket I got with them from crutchfield. Instead of holes to screw into there were slots and I couldn't tighten the screws down without them popping out. I had to modify the brackets slightly and use superglue for peace of mind. However, the brackets are no reflection of the speakers and may be better for your vehicle.
Pros: Overall good sound quality. Wiring was super easy! They also look very cool especially with the covers but the speakers did not fit with the covers on, and you wouldn't be able to see it through the door anyway :( I think these would make for an above average sound system paired with a decent sub.
Cons: Sound gets slightly distorted at high volume and with extra bass it distorts at an even lower volume, but like I said, it's good enough for me, still worth the price, and with a speaker this size it's kind of to be expected. And as I said I was disappointed with the brackets.

Sound great replaced stock speakers in my 1999 GMC Tahoe. Fairly easy to install. Hardest part was figuring out how to take door panels off. The instructions that came with speakers were not clear on this. Good video on YouTube on how to remove panels.

Love these. Sound clarity is amazing. I can actually hear lyrics. That was surprising. My earlier speakers must have been terrible ( GM truck stock speakers). Bass is lacking though. Maybe need to upgrade factory radio too. Also need to upgrade back speakers. For my needs, I'm happy. Both of my front speakers were fried for two years. I didn't realize how easy it was to replace. I'm happy with my purchase. I think a young adult would be upset and supplement bass.

Fit right in the back deck of my 2013 Challenger. Took less than an hour to complete the job. Recommend panel fastener removal tool for quick access. Sound very good, the old ones were blown by the previous owner so have nothing to compare to.

1996 Mazda Miata
Details: 96 Mazda Miata, only 2 speakers, Sony MEX-GS610BT head unit. I was concerned with the size of these speakers and some of the reviews stating they had zero bass. However, I am very impressed with the sound they are able to deliver. Even with the top down the sound is loud and clear, after adjusting EQ presets the bass sounds great. it's not going to rattle the doors, but it gives a good bump.

Decided to replace my Boston Acoustics 2-way with these 3-way. I was fairly skeptical when they weighed only 1pound 1 oz. vs the BA's 1 pound 13 oz. and it was all in the magnet. After getting them in. Man what a job vs. the BA's. Crutchfield's adaptor cables have went down in quality big time. I did my sound checks, put the door panels back on and got in. Wow, these speakers blew me away with sound. Biggest troubles were lack of a supplied master sheet and lack of enough mounting screws. 6 is not enough for rings and speakers.

Great sounding speakers given their size. Dont expect a lot of bass from these, they are more of a mid range speaker, I added a separate sub to fill the void. I needed an installation kit as these are slightly smaller than the factory speakers, the clarity however was much improved over the old stock ones.

I was happy with everything except for the fact that the Crutchfield website led me to believe that this was the only product that fit my vehicle(1997 mazda 626). But in reality it was a smaller speaker than i couldve used. This was because of the way they put sponosored "featured" prodcuts. I find this out after ripping the doors off and looking at the old speaker which were 6x8. Would be 5 if featured product section didnt make it seem as if thats the only product for your vehicle. I wouldve spent more money on a better speaker.
Pros: Speaker is good enough for the price. High fidelity even with the old wiring in it.

Replacement front door speakers

I ordered replacement front door speakers for my 2004 VW Jetta. Using the Crutchfield site I was able to enter my make, year and model of my car and then was offered a selection of speakers that would fit. I chose the ones on sale and ordered. Crutchfield automatically added the appropriate sleeve and cable needed for the installation, as well as directions. During the installation, I had a question on how to mount the sleeve. I was able to call Crutchfield (Sunday) and get the help I needed with no wait. That was appreciated since I had the doors panels off and it would have been a pain to not finish the install. They are installed now and working well. My overall experience was excellent and I will definitely go back when the need arises.

This product is amazing for its price. A lot of other buyers say that there could be more bass; I completely agree. There definitely is some bass, don't think I am saying that there is none at all, if you want your car to rock with bass don't buy these; but if you just need speakers to listen to during your commute to work or around town these are the ones for you! With my 2003 Hyundai Elantra, I could not find the same type of speakers to replace the 6x9's in the back. So I bought two pairs of these 5.25's and speaker adapters. They sound great! Plenty of power from these small speakers, especially if you buy the mega bass Sony Head unit. From what I hear, that is what makes the set! Personally, I don't mind the way they sound without it. So if you need to replace your factory speakers and do not want to break the bank, these are definitely the ones for you.

2007 Honda Civic DX
The speakers came with brackets and wires to attach to my Honda Civic. They installed very easily and had no major problems. Thanks for the low price!

Not Exactly a Direct Fit for 2001 Cherokee

2001 Jeep Cherokee
I still haven't figured out what exactly defines a 5 1/4" speaker. In my 2001 Cherokee the stock front holes are spaced 6" across and use 2 screws. The rear is the same except the holes are 5 1/2" apart. These Sony's have mountings for 4 screws, but they are only 4 1/2" apart. For the front figure on drilling 4 new holes. If you try using just one of the stock holes the speaker will be to offset in the opening. The rears were a little easier, a fender washer will make up the 1" difference in the mounting holes. I also drilled 2 extra holes centered in the mounting tabs to be sure they were secure. It's been some time since I ordered anything like this from Crutchfield, but radios and speakers that weren't an exact fit used to come with brackets, bezels, wire harnesses (harness still comes with it and is very nice), etc to make it a very easy install. I guess as with everything else it's hard to keep up with everything out there. The sound is about par with the originals, I was replacing them because one of my front speakers died. In hindsight I guess just getting a stock one and replacing just that one would have been just as good.
Pros: Sounds OK for the price.
Cons: While not really hard to install, I would have thought there would have been some mention (maybe I missed it) of the fact that these would not fit right in. Still haven't found anywhere to get a 5 1/4" measurement that's described in the description. I'm thinking maybe a 5 1/2" would have been a better fit and sound.

2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
I knew there were good speakers by the name. Easy to install in a Chevy half ton pick-up with the adapters supplied. Wiring adapter made this so simple. Had the speakers in and jamming in about a half hour.
Pros: Easy to install. Adapters fit perfect and very clean look.

Sounds great after breaking them in. Surprisingly good bass and sound for small budget minded speakers.
