This, the Sony NP-BX1, is the very best quality, Sony dedicated battery for Sony digicams, very long life and short recharge times make it an exceptional value, and I bought several of them. -- ron

Pros: The battery delivers. Period.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Make sure to get an extra battery as the camera's power consumption is high. Excellent OEM battery.

Stick with Sony's batteries. The off-brands can be very poor quality (good luck figuring out which ones are better than the others). Stick with Sony.

Pros: Dependable quality

Great battery. I like how Sony keeps using NP-BX1 on their RX100 cameras. I used off brand before and those were not as reliable as genuine one like this.

Pros: Genuine Sony product

Cons: None

fits the camera

The nice thing about having an extra battery is to be able to take more shots. The unfortunate thing about this one is that the camera must be used to charge the battery. This will allow us to use two batteries during the busy time for photo shots - if needed.

Pros: fits the camera

Cons: a tad expensive, but that was expected
