Great camera - step above cell phone cameras.
Robert from Wayne, NJ on 2/9/2022
Great camera though the online 620 page manual is a bit daunting. Would suggest going to the YouTube videos - greatly simplify the startup & learning process. This camera is a vast upgrade to cell phone cameras - have taken a lot of improved snapshot & videos. Highly recommend.
Pros: Very small lightweight camera thats perfect for traveling. Easy to transfer photos/videos to cell phone for sharing. Automatic setting will easily manage all the camera settings if that's all you want to know how to use.
Cons: Would be nice if Sony included a memory card. Would also get a hand grip for this camera as the small size makes hard not to drop sometimes.

Shame on Sony, for a poor design for such an amazing camera
W from Castle Rock, CO on 12/18/2021
This camera is amazing with 1 gigantic flaw that turns it into a pile of junk. The lense is not sealed and fogs up. Love this camera. Best camera ever made for a portable travel camera. Takes amazing flawless shots, but Sony cheaped out when they built it and they didn't seal the lense. It's not sealed / weather sealed, weather proof... Take it from an air conditioned room out side into the heat for a gorgeous night sunset - BOOM, fogged up lense. Take it from a cold winter day inside a warm, heated house,BOOM, moisture condenses on the lense.... For a camera to be a $1000 that's billed as a travel camera to have such a glaring flaw is unforgiveable. Junk design by Sony, .... If you take pictures in 70 degree temps all the time, then it's perfect for you... Take it on a trip, in the cold, super heat, near a waterfall, early in the morning out of a warm house - it's a foggy mess. Meh.
Pros: Amazing quality Amazing Shots Fast 200mm is awesome Night shots are incredible
Cons: Lense not sealed - fogs up a lot in temperature differentials Not the greatest travel camera, due to the unsealed lense. Very few accessories come with this camera and to purchase them is expensive.

Sony's Ne-Plus Ultra DSC-RX100 VII
Crutchfield customer from Flushing, NY on 1/19/2020
Firstly, my great "Open Box" deal from Crutchfield was an terrific deal. The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 VII, is the latest version with mild improvements. It is a camera "for" photographers. The articulated rear LCD screen is perfect for composing above one's head when covering congested and large news events where personal mobility is constricted. The addition of the pop-up eye level viewfinder is another huge plus. Other brands and camera models pale in comparison. This camera has attained cult status and I am glad to have finally attained this masterful addition to stealth picture taking.
Pros: Truly best in class!
Cons: None so far!

Great sales staff! Haven't had too much on photos but my husband took it to my sons motorcycle day on a race track and got great photos and video his first time touching my phone! Also my kids transferred photos from camera to phono via WiFi and it was slick. Looking forward to getting my hands on my camara

Pocket Power!
Crutchfield customer from Cleveland, OH on 8/29/2019
It's working well so far. The reach is great, and it's very small. AF is as advanced as my DSLR, even better in some regards. The body is pretty hard to hold on to, so I'd recommend getting the small grip available online. Battery life is just OK, but I guess that's the norm for these tiny cameras. In good light, I really can't ask for more. Things get a little grainy as ISO goes up, but in poor light, you really should be using a bigger sensor. It's pricey, but there aren't any other cameras that can do what this can, and still fit in a pocket. It's a well-built camera with advanced features and great IQ. Nice work, Sony.
Pros: IQ in good light, semi-fast lens, size, build quality, autofocus, reach
Cons: no grip, battery life, price, 1" sensor has its limits, a bit weighty
