S2 Sports Design: The Sony SRF-HM03V stereo headphone radio features the rugged and ergonomic S2 Sports design. It includes innovative features and function controls placed for easy access. The unit's water resistant design includes seals to that help keep out water, moisture, and dirt. It also has a rear reflector to add to your visibility.
Adjustability: The headphone's drivers are located in small "pods" that protrude inward from the earcup. Each of these pods can be adjusted up or down (up to 1-5/16") so they are positioned comfortably in front of the ear canal.
LCD: The outer portion of the right earcup contains a 5/8" x 1/2" liquid crystal display. The display includes the following information:
- Clock or tuning frequency
- Band (AM, FM, TV, WB)
- Preset number
- Mega Bass indicator
- Battery status
Clock: The unit features a digital clock with a 12-hour display.
Radio Bands: The headphone radio can receive broadcasts from the AM, FM, TV (channels 2-13), and Weather bands (channels 1-7). The unit has a built-in ferrite bar AM antenna and a built-in FM wire antenna.
Digital Tuner: The radio's PLL synthesized digital tuner provides accurate drift-free tuning of AM and FM radio stations. The tuning controls are located on the outside of the right earcup next to the display. The radio features manual, seek, and preset tuning. Note: The AM tuning interval can be switched between 10 kHz and 9 kHz. The FM tuning interval is 0.1 MHz.
Presets: You can store favorite stations in the unit's 30 presets, giving you one-touch tuning of 15 FM, 5 AM, 5 TV channels, and 5 weather bands.
Sensitivity Switch: You can switch the tuning sensitivity for FM, TV, and Weather bands to Local if interference is prevalent. Otherwise, the sensitivity switch should be left on DX (distance).
Mega Bass: The Mega Bass sound system produces rich, deep bass tones for more powerful overall sound.
Controls: The headphone radio features the following controls:

Power Requirements: The headphone radio operates on one "AAA" battery (not supplied). When the battery is removed or discharged, the headphones have a short built-in memory to give you approximately 5 minutes to change the battery without losing the clock and preset settings.
