Best true 4K projector for the money. At 1500 lumens, this projector is brighter than you would expect - no issues viewing in a low lit room. Color and picture quality is amazing out of the box. Setup is very simple.
Pros: 4K Picture Realistic color Easy setup

" It's a Sony! "
MIchael from Danville, KY on 7/12/2020
Excellent projector! Yea the black levels could be a bit better, yea it could be a little brighter as far as lumens go, but in a light controlled room paired with a good screen... the picture is detailed, clear, with fantastic motion and very accurate color right out of the box in reference mode. It's also very easy to use and navigate through. You can find the jvc nx5 entry level for about the same price sure... but they probably aren't a certified dealer so you won't get the 3 year warranty if something goes wrong and out of the box Sony still pops more. Crutchfield also backs there products and has excellent customer service, so you can't go wrong. ??
Pros: Easy to operate Sharp, detailed, and clean picture Excellent motion handling Accurate color
Cons: Lumens could be brighter Black levels could a better Price could be about 500 less and it would be the best native 4K projector on the planet for price to performance/value ratio

Great 4k picture quality
Sunil from Bentonville, AR on 6/15/2020
We got this sony VPL-VW295ES projector about a month ago for our home theater and was by far the best purchase we have done. It has excellent clarity and shows very good deep blacks. I have put a 135 inch screen about 15 feet away from the projector and shows great picture quality. Thanks to Mr. stone for guiding me through this purchase.

Buyer Beware...Sony doesn't take care of its customers.
Mark from Meridian, ID on 9/24/2019
Have used this projector since it was first released. I was very pleased with it until it stopped turning on about 7 weeks ago. Turns out the cooling fan stopped working. After finally getting approval from Sony to get it repaired over a month ago, I still don't have a working projector. It's been sitting with them for 4 weeks waiting on the fan to arrive. They can't get parts and so I have no projector. They have no ETA for a new fan to finally fix it. What a complete joke. I used to like Sony but they have lost me as a customer. Buyer beware...no $5k projector should sit unrepaired this long. Epson states a 2 day turn around on projectors. Maybe Sony should pay attention. I'm now going to order an Epson and sell this if I ever get it back. So disappointed.

INCREDIBLE!!!!
BRANDON from Anchorage, AK on 1/9/2019
I was blown away by the 4K picture quality, brightness, vibrant colors and UHD Blurays are pure eye candy on the Sony VPL-VW295ES. This is a HUGE upgrade from my Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 8700UB 1080p that I purchased in 2010. I am extremly happy with this purchase!

Amazing Projector!
Dan from Decatur, IN on 10/30/2018
Amazing projector! I upgraded from an Optoma UHD60. The visual improvements from one to the other are night and day. Picture clarity is amazing. Also glad to finally have support for 4K 60fps from the Apple TV. 3D capabilities are a bonus, as this feature seems to be fading away, but I tested it out with this projector and it performed very well. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a true 4K projector for their home theater at a reasonable price. I use this projector along with a 120" Screen Innovation Series 5 1.2 Slate fixed screen, and the combination is stunning. Do yourself a favor and buy this projector now!
Pros: Stunning Picture, 4K 60fps, 3D
Cons: None
