Still A Quality Unit After All These Years
Kelvin from Olive Branch, MS on 10/16/2019
Outstanding clarity.Robust build.Slim profile. Excellent stabilization. Outstanding audio. Only drawback is that Sony longer allows you to upload video to Facebook Live. That was why i purchased it in the first place
Pros: Everything Is As Advertised
Cons: Camera Wi-Fi no longer supported by Sony to allow instant uploads to online social media. No more Facebook Live

Could be better.
Larry from Bremerton Wa. on 10/31/2017
The FDR X3000 does a vary nice job on video recording. I don't know about the 4 K option. 1080P 30 and 60 frames do a nice job. As far as the inputs for mic or usb, well Sony needs to do better there behind a water resistant door. also the control screen is a bit not user friendly although the fussy smartphone app is very helpful.
Pros: Great image stabilization.
Cons: user controls and jacks.

Jelly video
Vincent from Martinsburg, WV on 4/18/2017
First let me say the 4k video is awesome.....however too much "Jelly" effect even with the stabilization set to "Active" and its pretty annoying. Going to have to send it back.
Pros: Great 4k
Cons: Jelly effect while recording

excellent video quality, but...
Gene from Closter, NJ on 4/17/2017
Overall, the optical image stabilization performs well and video quality is top notch. However I wanted to shoot a lot in 4K and the battery life is quite short, under an hour and the only shutter speed is 30 fps. It otherwise does everything one could hope.
Pros: excellent video quality easy to use optical image stabilization
Cons: short battery life in 4K only 30 fps in 4K

The best choice, be original don't get a go pro
Crutchfield customer from Port Jefferson, NY on 4/11/2017
This is a great camera. I had an older version of it which I lost to an epic pow day. Wasn't too happy about needing to replace the one I had, but there was no question Which one I would get. LOVE everything about this camera from ease of use, to battery life, to quality of video, to the awesome free editing software Sony provides in the App Store. Iv taken this thing to some pretty gnarly places, and it's never let me down.
Pros: Everything
Cons: Helmet mounting sucks, if your into that kind of thing

Perfect for action and vlogging!
Yuriy from Brooklyn, NY on 4/8/2017
Good quality action/vlogging camera. It was a hard decision for me Sony vs GoPro. Optical stabilization beats GoPro cameras.
Pros: Image stabilization, in-camera mic is very good
Cons: Original Sony accessories a little bit expensive

Super Action Cam
Everett from Salt Lake City, UT on 11/18/2016
This is a great action cam for the price point. The only reason it did not get 5 stars is because learning to operate it takes a little time, however it is well worth the effort. The image stabilization when shooting in 4k is the best of any action cam on the market. Not to mention the great video quality. Plus, it is small light weight, easy to handle.
Pros: Image stabilization, light weight, takes up to 128 gb micro sd card, battery life.
Cons: learning curve
