The DRN-XM01H2 hardware package gives you everything you need to receive the signal and play it through your home audio system. The plug-and-play tuner features an easy-to-read LCD panel for displaying channel, artist, and song information, plus 20 presets for your favorite channels. The package also includes a tuner cradle, mounting plate, XM-compatible antenna, wireless remote, AC adapter, and audio cable for connecting to your system.
Sony's clever plug-and-play design means you can slip the tuner out of the included cradle, and into the cradle contained in an optional car docking station (see "Accessories"). When you're ready to hit the road, just take the tuner with you — and since you use the same tuner for both home and car, you pay for only one subscription!

Product Overview: This bundle contains the transportable Sony DRN-XM01MK2 XM Satellite Radio "Plug & Play" receiver and the necessary accessories to allow you to listen to XM Satellite Radio in your home. Included are the mounting plate and cradle, AC adapter, and antenna. You must have a subscription to XM radio programming in order to tune into the digital satellite radio signal. There is an available car installation accessory kit (see item # 158XM01CK2) that allows you to use the Plug & Play receiver in your vehicle.
Note: Satellite radio service is available only within the contiguous (lower 48) United States. Service is not available in Alaska and Hawaii.
XM Satellite Radio: XM Satellite Radio programming features up to 100 channels of digital-quality music, news, talk, sports, entertainment, and children's programming nationwide, many of which are commercial free. A monthly subscription fee is required to receive XM signals.
Remote Control: The RM-XM2 Remote Commander (included) is a 25-button IR remote control that can handle all functions of the receiver. Controls include: Power, Memo, Back, Display, Menu, Enter, Up and Down buttons, Presets 1-5, and 0-9 keypad for direct channel input. The CR2025 Lithium battery comes installed in the remote.
Display: The white two-line backlit LCD shows 16 characters per line. It can display the channel number, channel name, artist name or feature, song or program title, additional information, time/date, as well as operating menu information.
Line Out Level: The volume on the line output is adjustable to match the other inputs of the system. There are eight settings.
Auto Power Down: The receiver automatically turns off when no button is pressed for a specific time period. The time is selectable between 60, 120, and 180 minutes.
Clock: Time information is transmitted from the satellite.
Presets: There are five station preset buttons and up to twenty stations can by memorized (five each in bands XM1, XM2, XM3, and XM4).
Beep Tone: Whenever a button is pressed, a beep is heard. This tone can be defeated.
Contrast: The display contrast is adjustable.
XM Radio Antenna: The included XM Radio antenna has a powerful magnetic base that allows you to mount the antenna on the roof or trunk lid of your vehicle. The antenna needs to be mounted in a location where the radio wave from the satellite is not interrupted by the body of the vehicle. The 23' antenna cable can be secured with the included cable clamps, guides and cushions. For mounting on a plastic or aluminum surface, a self-adhesive seal is included. The antenna measures 1.216" tall, 2.159" wide, and 2.715" deep.
Ferrite Cores: The package includes two ferrite cores. These noise filters will need to be attached approximately 5 3/8" from the antenna plugs and approximately 7/32" from the small plug on the cigarette lighter adapter.
Top of Unit:
- Jog Roller: the receiver has a top-mounted Jog Roller control, which is used to select channels, menu items and settings, or scroll the stored text information. The Jog Roller moves forward and backward for scrolling through channels and menu options, and presses down to execute the commands.
Front of Unit:

- DSPL/BACK/BAND: cycles through display modes, returns to previous menu display, and cycles through the 4 XM bands
