About the AudioControl AC-LGD 60

Bypass your factory radio's shut down circuit

Some factory radios will not work without sensing that speakers (low-impedance loads) are connected to their outputs, so successfully installing an aftermarket sound processor or amplifier becomes a challenge. AudioControl's AC-LGD 60 Load Generating Devices solve this issue by generating an acceptable impedance load and stabilizing the signal for the amplified factory system in a 2015-up Chrysler-built vehicle.

The AC-LGD 60s plug directly into any AudioControl line output converter (LOC), signal processor, or amplifier with speaker-level inputs. You can also use AC-LGD 60s with almost any non-AudioControl device by unscrewing the connectors and connecting the wires directly.

Product Research

Features

Overview: The AudioControl AC-LGD60 Load Generating Device let you add an aftermarket amplifier or signal processor to a Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, and Maserati factory amplified sound system. Many modern factory amplifiers feature built-in protection circuits that will mute the audio outputs of the factory radio if the factory speakers are removed. The AC-LGD60 has been designed to generate a load (60Ω) to stabilize the signal from the factory amplified system and provide the best possible audio.

Connection: The AC-LGD60 includes 2 load generating devices, each with connectors and 6.5" of attached speaker wire that's color coded to match most aftermarket speaker wire colors. If adding an AudioControl amplifier or processor, the included connectors simply plug into the sockets on the AudioControl device. If adding another brand of amp, set-screws on the connectors allow the wire to be easily removed and attached to the new amp. The Load Generators get placed in between the output of the factory amp and the input of the new amplifier or processor. Each channel can accept a maximum input voltage of 25Vrms (150W) and provides 60Ω of impedance.

  • Note: The AC-LGD60 is designed for factory AMPLIFIED systems. If installing in a vehicle that's NON-AMPLIFIED, the AudioControl AC-LGD20 will be required.
