Overview: The MusicSafe Classic earplugs provide convenient, portable,
hearing protection in a comfortable design.
AlpineAcousticFilters: The MusicSafe Classic earplugs include
filters for high and medium levels of protection (gold and silver). Alpine's unique AlpineAcousticFilters
use selective absorption to help protect against harmful noise levels while
preserving excellent music quality.
AlpineThermoShape: The MusicSafe Classic earplugs are made from a very
soft, flexible, and durable AlpineThermoShape material that conforms to the
shape of your auditory duct when warm, making them very comfortable to wear.
This also allows the earplugs to be easily fit to your ear should they be a

Safe Volume Levels: The maximum statutory volume limit to which
hearing may be exposed is around 80 decibels (dB). Prolonged exposure to noise
levels above 80 dB can lead to hearing damage or even hearing loss. Official
reports show that that 80 dB level is commonly exceeded in our modern world.
Concerts are a good example, where volume levels can reach 120 dB. For rock
musicians, most of the harmful noise is mainly produced by the drums and the
amplifiers, whereas for classical musicians their own instruments and those
nearby, can greatly affect their hearing. The following chart shows the maximum
exposure time at various decibel levels above 80 dB:
|Noise Level ||Maximum exposure
without hearing protection |
|86 dB ||2 Hours |
|89 dB ||1 Hour |
|92 dB ||30 Minutes |
|94 dB ||15 Minutes |
|98 dB ||7 Minutes |
|102 dB ||3 Minutes |
