A rugged, reliable powered monitor with analog connections

The Fostex 6301NE features a 4" full-range driver in a tough die-cast aluminum enclosure. You'll find it working hard in TV stations, radio stations, production houses, and government buildings around the world.

It produces a surprising amount of clear, accurate sound, and it's rugged enough for just about any work environment. You have a choice of inputs: there's an unbalanced 1/4" TS jack on the back, alongside a balanced analog XLR connector. This model's XLR input is electrically balanced, so we recommend using it only with short cable runs.

An optional Fostex 6301EB adjustable mounting bracket will come in handy if you want to hang this speaker on a wall.

Features

Overview: The Fostex 6301 series active monitors feature a 4" full-range driver housed in a rugged die-cast aluminum enclosure and powered by a 20 watt class-D amplifier. The speakers have been redesigned to provide higher output with less power consumption, eliminating the need for heat sinks. Designed for clear audio reproduction, the 6301 series has been the industry standard active monitor for broadcast and production facilities since 1982. The flat front-panel design recesses the Power and Volume controls, to avoid any inadvertent changes, and a convenient Auto Stand-by feature will activate when the input signal drops below a certain level for more than 25 minutes, putting the speaker into Standby mode and reducing the power consumption to 0.5 watts or less.

Rear Panel and Mounting: The 6301NE rear panel includes one 1/4" TS input (unbalanced), one electrically balanced female XLR jack, and the power switch. The speaker is designed to sit on a flat surface, but can also be wall-mounted with the optional 6301EB bracket (sold separately).
