Product Research
Features
Overview: The Ring Alarm Flood/Freeze Sensor (4SF1S80EN0) works within the Ring Alarm Security Kit to alert you of potential water leaks or frozen pipes. Place the sensor on the floor near sinks, water heaters, refrigerators, toilets, or washing machines, and receive alerts when water or low temperatures are detected. The sensor is approximately 3" in diameter, and 1" in height, and operates on a 3-volt Lithium battery (included).
Z-Wave: The sensor communicates wirelessly with the Ring Alarm base station via Z-Wave, a wireless radio frequency technology that operates at 908.42 MHz. It operates on low power, and has a range of up to approximately 250 feet.
Detection: The Ring Alarm Flood/Freeze Sensor is equipped with two pairs of metal contacts on its bottom panel. When water touches the contacts, the sensor wirelessly sends an alert to the alarm base. In addition, when the temperture at the sensor drops below 40 degrees (F), an alert will be sent. The Ring Alarm System will send a mobile alert and an email notification that there is an issue. If you subscribe to Ring's Protect Plus Professional Monitoring service, you'll receive an automated call.
Power Requirements: The sensor is powered by a single CR123A Lithium battery (included). The user-replaceable battery has an estimated life of up to 3 years.
