Features
Overview: The Ring Alarm Smoke/CO Listener (4SS1S80EN0) works within the Ring Alarm Security Kit to alert you when it hears the siren from your home's smoke or carbon monoxide (CO) alarm. Place the Listener near your existing smoke and CO alarm, and receive alerts when your alarm sounds. The listener is approximately 3" in diameter, and 1" in height, and operates on a 3-volt Lithium battery (included).
Z-Wave: The Smoke/CO Listener communicates wirelessly with the Ring Alarm base station via Z-Wave, a wireless radio frequency technology that operates at 908.42 MHz. It operates on low power, and has a range of up to approximately 250 feet.
Operation: The Ring Smoke/CO Listener should be placed within 6" of each existing smoke and CO alarm in your home. It can be mounted using the included wall bracket. When the Listener hears the siren from your smoke/CO alarm, it wirelessly sends an alert to the Ring Alarm base. The Ring Alarm System will send a mobile alert and an email notification to you that there is an issue. If you subscribe to Ring's Protect Plus Professional Monitoring service, you'll receive an automated call.
Note: The Ring Smoke/CO Listener does not sense smoke or CO directly, but adds "smart" functionality to your existing smoke or CO alarms.
Power Requirements: The Listener is powered by a single CR123A Lithium battery (included). The user-replaceable battery has an estimated life of up to 3 years.
