About the Ring Spotlight Cam Mount

Keep a close eye on your home, even when you're not there
Keep a close eye on your home, even when you're not there
Ring's Spotlight Cam is more than a surveillance camera. When motion is detected, the LED spotlights come on and a notification is sent to your phone. You can then use the mobile app to view live footage in real time from wherever you are. Press the talk button to have a chat with your visitors, or — if they are uninvited guests — press the alarm button to activate the 110-decibel siren to scare them off.

The Ring Spotlight Cam shines a light on potential threats.
Optional cloud storage
The camera streams live footage to the app 24/7, but if you want to save or send video clips, you'll need a Ring Protect plan. Ring Protect is a subscription-based cloud storage service. The basic package ($3.99/month or $39.99/year)* covers a single camera and allows you to save and share your Ring videos from that camera. You get a free, 30-day trial subscription when you activate your Ring device.
Installing multiple Ring devices? The Ring Protect Plus plan ($10/month or $100/year) includes cloud storage for unlimited Ring devices at a single location.

Just ask Alexa
I also have good news for Smart home fans — Ring cameras will work with Amazon Alexa-enabled devices for voice control. If you have an Amazon Fire TV, or an Echo Show or Spot, you can ask Alexa to show you the live stream from your Spotlight Cam.

More details on the Ring Spotlight Cam Mount

Product Research
Features
Overview: The Ring Spotlight Cam Mount outdoor security camera can keep an eye on your property when you can't. It is equipped with a motion-activated spotlight that can light up a wide area. With built-in Wi-Fi, you can view the streaming video on the Ring app directly from your computer or smart device. It has a microphone and speaker for two-way audio capability. The Spotlight Cam Mount can be hard-wired to any outdoor electrical box, and comes with three secure mounting brackets: round, rectangular (horizontal), and rectangular (vertical).
Camera: The camera has a wide-angle lens with a wide 140° field of view. The camera produces bright 1080p HD video in a Live View that you can watch on your phone, tablet, or computer. Adjustable motion sensors cover a 270° arc, and can detect movement up to 30 feet away (based on a 9-foot mounting height). When motion is detected, the spotlight will automatically turn on, and a notification will be sent to your smart device through the Ring app. Even with the lights off, the camera's infrared LEDs will enable the night vision.
110dB Siren: The camera features a 110-decibel siren alarm that will help scare off any intruders. The siren is remote activated from the Ring App on your smart device or computer.
Weather Resistant: The Spotlight Cam Mount is designed to be used outdoors. It is resistant to inclement weather and temperature extremes (-20°F to 120°F).
Installation: The camera can be mounted on an exterior wall of your home. Three mounting brackets are included for mounting the camera on 4" round or 4" x 2" rectangular electrical boxes. The camera has an integrated ball-and-socket adjustment that lets you level and position the camera for your desired view. The camera must be installed where there is a strong Wi-Fi signal. To help prevent theft, the camera has a covered security screw on the mounting bracket.
Wi-Fi: The Ring Spotlight Cam Mount operates on an 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi connection on the 2.4 GHz band.
Voice Assistant Compatible: The Ring Spotlight Cam Mount is compatible with both Alexa and Google Home voice-controlled "assistants." You can control the Ring security system by telling Alexa or the Google assistant to perform a specific action, such as turn on motion alerts, show the view from specific cameras, or play back videos. When you receive an alert, you can hear the announcements on your device. If you have an Echo Show or Spot, you'll be able to see live and recorded video on the screen, and conduct 2-way conversations with anyone captured on the live camera. Currently, live streaming from Ring devices is not compatible with Chromecast.
Ring App: The free Ring - Always Home app pulls together all of your Ring devices, including Video Doorbells and Security Cameras. The app sends you an instant alert when someone triggers the camera's motion sensor, or rings your Ring Video Doorbell. You'll be able to see, hear, and speak to anyone on your property using your smart device. In addition, the app lets you create a virtual Neighborhood Watch and receive alerts from your neighbors. In the app, you can customize the Motion Zones, times for receiving (or not receiving) alerts, and how often to be notified for motion events. The Ring App is available for Apple iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch running iOS 14.0 or later, and for Android devices running version 9.0 and up. The Ring desktop app has been discontinued, however, all of your settings and Ring features will be accessible in your account on Ring.com.
Optional Protection Plans: The Ring Always Home app keeps you connected to your home in real time, with instant alerts sent directly to your smartphone or tablet. If you have Ring security cameras or Video Doorbells, you also get live view and 2-way talk. A free 30-day trial of Ring Protect Plus is included when you initially set up your Ring device. Ring Protection Plans do not require contracts or long-term commitments. You may cancel your subscription at any time. As of July 1, 2022, there are two subscription plans available:
