Add one or more of these sensors to your 8-piece kit or 14-piece kit and get an extra layer of security. Or custom-build your system from the options below.

Some jurisdictions require permits for professionally monitored alarm systems. If you sign up for monitoring with a Ring Protect Plus plan, you will receive an email with information about permits and how to obtain them if necessary.

Ring Alarm and the professional monitoring service are available and ship only within the U.S. (all 50 states, but not U.S. territories) and in Canada (excluding Quebec).

Ring Alarm and all Ring Alarm accessories require a subscription for digital notifications, in-app features, digital arming/disarming, and integration with other Ring, Echo, and third party products. Subscription sold separately. Terms and conditions apply.

More details on the Ring Alarm Glass Break Sensor

Product Research

Features

Overview: The Ring Alarm Glass Break Sensor is an important add-on to your Ring Alarm or Ring Alarm Pro. With advanced AI (artificial intelligence) technology, it can monitor the areas around your doors and windows and detect the sound of shattering glass. The sensor is 3-3/4" in diameter and just under 1" in height. It weighs 5.7 ounces, and has a monitoring range of up to 25 feet.

Functionality: The Glass Break Sensor "listens" for the sound of different types of breaking glass. When breaking glass is detected, the sensor sends a signal to your Ring Alarm base, which will send an instant alert to your smartphone, tablet, or computer. When triggered, the sensor can be set to automatically sound the siren on your Ring Alarm when it is armed in Home or Away mode. If you have a Ring Protect subscription with Professional Monitoring, you can choose to receive a call from the monitoring center whenever the Glass Break Sensor is triggered, and request emergency assistance if needed. With a subscription, you can set your connected Ring Doorbells or Ring Cameras to start recording video when the siren sounds.

Connectivity: The Glass Break Sensor communicates with the Alarm Base via Z-Wave, a leading wireless technology with a range of up to 250 feet (open air, line-of-sight).

Installation: The Ring Alarm Glass Break Sensor is easy to install. It can be placed on a flat surface, such as a table or shelf, or mounted to a wall or on the ceiling. You can use the two included screws and wall anchors or the 2-1/2" x 1-3/4" adhesive pad on the back for mounting the sensor where you desire. The sensor should be placed at least 7" off the floor and close to your glass windows and doors. It can monitor multiple windows at once. Operating temperature is 32°F to 120°F.

Power: The sensor is powered with three "AA" alkaline batteries (installed). Typical battery life with the included batteries is up to three years. Battery life may be affected by usage, device settings, environment, and other factors.
