Bundle Overview: The Ring Video Doorbell Wired + Chime bundles together these two home security devices. The Video Doorbell Wired replaces your existing doorbell, and allows you to see and hear who is at your door before you answer it. The Ring Chime (2nd Generation) is an accessory plug-in speaker that lets you hear notifications from your Video Doorbell or other Ring cameras and devices. Both devices connect to your home's 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.

Video Doorbell Wired: The Ring Video Doorbell Wired instantly alerts you when someone approaches your front door or rings your doorbell. The camera streams Full HD video, while the two-way audio lets you speak with your visitor. The Video Doorbell Wired comes with security and mounting hardware. Video Doorbell Wired dimensions: Width 1.819", Height 3.995", Depth 0.888"; Weight 2.7 ounces.

Camera: The Video Doorbell Wired features a wide-angle lens with a wide 155° (horizontal) and 90° vertical field of view. The camera produces bright 1080p Full HD video in a live view that you can watch on your smartphone, tablet, or computer. Advanced Motion Detection can trigger real-time notifications, so you can keep up with what's happening at home. Customizable motion zones let you define the areas you want to monitor, eliminating most false notifications. You can also fine-tune the sensitivity from "All Activity" to "People Only," if desired. Built-in infrared LEDs enable night vision after the sun goes down.

Installation: The Video Doorbell should be installed approximately 4 feet above the ground for best performance. If replacing an existing doorbell that is higher than 4 feet, a wedge kit is available for purchase from Ring. The bracket mounts first, then the doorbell snaps into place on the bracket. If mounting to stucco, brick, or concrete, you should use the included wall anchors when installing. Torx security screws (and screwdriver) are included to secure the doorbell to the bracket.

Note: The doorbell will not sound on an existing home wired chime.

Wi-Fi: The Ring Video Doorbell Wired operates on an 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi connection on the 2.4 GHz band. A minimum upload speed of 1 Mbps is required, while 2 Mbps is recommended for best streaming performance.

Power Requirements: The Video Doorbell Wired requires an existing doorbell system, a Ring plug-in adapter, or a transformer for the power supply. It requires working 10-24V AC, 40VA max, 50/60Hz or 24VDC, 0.5A, 12W doorbell wiring.

Ring Chime: Ring Chime (2nd generation) is an accessory for Ring Video Doorbells and Security Cameras. Whenever your Ring Video Doorbell or Security Camera sends out a notification, you'll be able to hear it on Chime, even if you aren't near your smartphone. Chime plugs into any standard AC power outlet (110-240V AC), and connects to an unlimited number of Ring devices through your Wi-Fi network (2.4GHz). Chime allows you to get notifications in any room of your home that has Wi-Fi. In the Ring app, you can set up multiple alert tones, and adjust the volume of the notifications. There are over 30 classic and seasonal alert tones to choose from. Ring Chime has a Do Not Disturb mode that allows you to turn off notifications in the app, whenever you want some quiet time.

LED Indicator: The Ring Chime (2nd generation) features an LED status indicator in the upper right corner for setup and power status.

Ring App: The free Ring - Always Home app pulls together all of your Ring devices, including Video Doorbells and Security Cameras. The app sends you an instant alert when someone triggers a motion sensor, or rings your Ring Video Doorbell. You'll be able to see, hear, and speak to anyone on your property using your smart device. In addition, the app lets you create a virtual Neighborhood Watch and receive alerts from your neighbors. In the app, you can zoom and pan for a better look, customize the Motion Zones, times for receiving (or not receiving) alerts, and how often to be notified for motion events. The Ring App is available for Apple iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch running iOS 14.0 or later, and for Android devices running version 9 and up. The Ring desktop app has been discontinued, however, all of your settings and Ring features will be accessible in your account on Ring.com.

Amazon Alexa Enabled: The Ring Doorbell Wired is compatible with Alexa-enabled devices. Using the Alexa Voice Assistant, you can use voice commands to hear custom notifications and use the Two-Way Talk feature with Echo Dot, and view video on the Echo Show.

Optional Protection Plans: The Ring Always Home app keeps you connected to your home in real time, with instant alerts sent directly to your smartphone or tablet. If you have Ring security cameras or Video Doorbells, you also get live view and 2-way talk. A free 30-day trial of Ring Protect Plus is included when you initially set up your Ring device. Ring Protection Plans do not require contracts or long-term commitments. You may cancel your subscription at any time. As of July 1, 2022, there are two subscription plans available:
