This was the final piece I needed to get my system set up just the way I wanted it. I have a nice power amp with just a single line input and a turntable with built in preamp... so I needed a way to add another source device, specifically an iPad. I was a bit skeptical about adding a $99 component to a system I've spent over a year building at a cost of several thousand dollars. Nonetheless, this piece is exactly what I needed in terms of function, so I decided to give it a try. Perfecto! I can now switch between my turntable and up to 3 more sources. The main thing here is that this is a passive device, which eliminated the chance for adding noise into my system. I've spent many hours setting up my gear so that there is no noise floor and I would have been disappointed had this switcher introduced any noise. It didn't, nor can I detect any reduction in sound quality for using it. Couldn't be happier to finally have the ability to add sources and yet not have to give up the sound quality I've worked so hard for.
Pros: Turn a single input on your amp into 4 inputs.
Cons: No noise, no reduction in sound quality.

Works great, using it to plug multiple old turn tables into my old Phase Linear amp which only has a single phono input.

This little Rolls switch box may seem expensive at $100, but it is worth it! It is a box with a solid steel frame with a permanent powder coating surface that will last for years before showing age. The selector switch has excellent quiet switching circuits which allow no interference between components. I've used it to switch between audio systems with no clicks or pops apparent. This is a passive device which adds no distortion to the signal. I highly reccomend this unit and I will buy another one for future projects.
