More details on the Shure BLX 1288/P31-H9
Overview: The Shure BLX 1288/P31-H9 Dual Channel Handheld Wireless Microphone System consists of a BLX88 Dual Channel Wireless Receiver, a PG58 Handheld Microphone with built-in BLX2 transmitter, and a PGA31 headset microphone along with a BLX1 bodypack transmitter. The microphone system allows you to operate up to 12 compatible systems per frequency band (depending upon your region). The system operates on the H9 frequency band (512 to 542 MHz), and has a transmitting range of approximately 300 feet.
BLX88: The BLX88 Dual Wireless Receiver features one-touch QuickScan frequency selection to help you find the best open frequency for less interference. You can also manually change the group and channel assignments, if needed. It has dual XLR mic outputs, as well as dual 1/4" instrument-level output jacks. The BLX88 is simple to set up, and has a microprocessor-controlled internal diversity antenna system. Each channel has two LED indicators. The audio LED indicates the strength of the incoming signal, and glows green for normal and red for overload. The ready LED indicates the system is ready for use and receiving the transmitter signal. It is powered by the supplied 12-volt DC power supply.
PG58/BLX2 Wireless Handheld Mic: The PG58 is a rugged, dynamic handheld microphone for live performances, conferences, and professional sound reinforcement applications. The PG58 has a cardioid polar pattern, and provides robust sound with emphasized bass, and maximum isolation from other sources. It is designed for close-up vocals (6" or less from mouth), and can be handheld or mounted on a stand (using the supplied adjustable stand adapter). The PG58 can withstand rough handling, featuring a hardened steel mesh grille, and an internal shock mount for reduced handling noise. The microphone's built-in BLX2 transmitter is powered by 2 "AA" alkaline batteries (included), which can provide approximately 14 hours of use. An LED indicator will turn red to signify a low battery with approximately 60 minutes of battery life remaining. Optional rechargeable batteries can also be used. The BLX2 has independent group and channel buttons for easy setup. The BLX2 comes with a black identification cap. Optional color ID caps are available from the manufacturer.
PGA31: The PGA31 Headset Condenser Microphone is an affordable wireless cardioid condenser headset microphone for hands-free speech and vocal performance applications. Its unidirectional cardioid polar pattern provides excellent off-axis rejection for higher gain-before-feedback when used with a stage monitor. The wire-frame headset fits comfortably and securely, and stays put no matter how active the performer. The flexible gooseneck boom lets you adjust the microphone for optimal positioning. The PGA31 comes with two foam windscreens and a clothing clip to keep the cable secure. The 52" cable is terminated by a 4-pin TA4F connector that plugs into the BLX1 bodypack transmitter.
BLX1: The PGA31 is paired with the BLX1 bodypack transmitter. It is powered by 2 "AA" alkaline batteries (included), which provide approximately 14 hours of battery life. The BLX1 has independent group and channel buttons for easy setup. The transmitter has a convenient clip for attaching it to a belt or pocket.
