About the Shure GLXD4

Don't tie me down
Don't tie me down
Shure designed their GLX-D4® family of digital wireless systems to set you free onstage. You can use this GLXD4 single-channel wireless receiver with the GLXD1 bodypack transmitter or the GLDX2 handheld transmitter for a complete system.
Easy to run
LinkFreq Automatic Frequency Management makes it simple – just turn on your receiver and transmitter, and they'll automatically pair up on the best available frequency. If you encounter unexpected interference, the system instantly switches to the next best open frequency, with no interruption. You can run up to 8 systems on a single stage in ideal conditions, up to 4 systems in most situations.
Rechargeable battery
The GLX-D transmitters use rechargable lithium-ion batteries, and the GLXD4 receiver features an onboard battery charging port that allows you to charge a spare battery while the system is in use. And there's no more guessing if you'll make it through a show – the GLXD4's display gives you a real time countdown on how much battery life is left in your transmitter.

Product Research
Features
Overview: The Shure GLXD4 Wireless Receiver works with the GLX-D Digital Wireless Systems. It operates within the 2.4 GHz ISM spectrum, and automatically links to the GLXD1 bodypack or GLXD2 handheld transmitters. It has an XLR microphone output and a 1/4" instrument output, and is powered by the supplied 14-to-18-volt DC power supply. In a typical setting, you can simultaneously operate up to 4 compatible systems, and up to 8 under ideal conditions. This receiver works on the Z2 frequency band.
LINKFREQ: The GLX-D Digital Wireless systems feature LINKFREQ Automatic Frequency Management. When the system is powered up, the receiver continuously analyzes the available frequencies. The receiver and transmitter automatically link using the best set of available frequencies. In the event of interference, the receiver and transmitter intelligently move together to another open frequency without any interruption of audio.
LCD Screen: The GLXD4's LCD screen provides a constant indication of the system's status. It displays the selected group and channel numbers, an audio meter with overload indicator, and the transmitter gain. It also provides an accurate indication of the remaining battery life of the transmitter's battery in hours and minutes, along with a low battery warning when there is less than 15 minutes of battery life left.
Battery Charging Port: The GLXD4 has a built-in charging port for the SB902 Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery used by the GLXD1 and GLXD2 transmitters. The battery charges in the port in approximately 3 hours to provide about 16 hours of continuous use.
