It's also compatible with a variety of popular conferencing platforms and operating systems.

Clever tabletop design

The speakerphone's clever design includes nine upward-facing microphones with beamforming capability. An LED light ring in the top panel follows an active presenter's voice so you know which microphones are responding. The built-in speaker faces downward, so it doesn't interact with the microphones to create feedback. The device's digital signal processing provides echo-canceling, de-reverb, and noise cancellation for clean, precise audio.

The speakerphone has just two connections: an Ethernet port — for powering the device and connecting to your network — and a Type-B USB port for teleconferencing.

Part of the Stem Ecosystem

The Stem Ecosystem includes several additional pieces for enhancing teleconferences and remote meetings, including:

  • Stem Hub Express — the central connection point for an expanded Stem network
  • Stem Ceiling — a ceiling-mounted array of microphones with three selectable coverage patterns
  • Stem Wall — a wall-mounted sound bar with microphones and speakers for teleconferencing
  • Stem Speaker — a versatile speaker that can be stand-mounted on a table, placed on-wall, or ceiling mounted
  • Stem Control — a 10-inch touchscreen that lets you control your entire Stem Ecosystem network

Features

Overview: The Stem Table 1 is part of the Stem Ecosystem and is designed for meeting spaces and teleconferencing. With built-in speaker and microphones, the Table 1 is optimized for placement on tabletops and flat surfaces. The Table 1 can be used as a stand-alone device or networked with other Stem Ecosystem devices using a Stem Hub or Stem Hub Express (both sold separately).

Microphones & Speaker: The Stem Table 1 features 9 built-in microphones in a 360˚ array. Beamforming allows the Table 1 to focus the microphones closest to the person speaking, helping reject stray sounds. An LED light ring on top of the Table 1 highlights beamforming by following the direction of the person speaking. A single down-firing speaker allows the person speaking to be heard, while helping eliminate feedback from the 9 microphones. Built-in digital signal processing (DSP) includes state-of-the-art acoustic echo cancellation, automatic gain control, noise cancellation, and de-reverberation algorithms.

Network Connection: An RJ-45 Ethernet port is used to connect into your existing network, providing data, power, and other IoT and SIP capabilities.

PoE: The Stem Table 1 is completely powered using PoE (Power over Ethernet), eliminating the need for power cables and AC adapters. A single Ethernet (RJ-45) connection is all that's required.

Controls: Top panel controls include Volume Up & Down, and Mute.

USB: A type-B USB port provides the connection to your PC via the provided USB cable, letting you use the Table 1 for video conferencing. The Stem Table 1 is compatible with most leading video conferencing platforms.

Compatible Stem Ecosystem Devices (sold separately):

  • Hub Express & Hub: A Stem Hub or Stem Hub Express is required if using the Table 1 as part of a Stem Ecosystem. The Hub/Hub Express acts as the hub or "brains" of the entire ecosystem.
  • Stem Ceiling: The Stem Ceiling microphone array focuses on who's speaking in the room, while remaining out of sight.
  • Stem Speaker: The Stem Speaker is a networked loudspeaker that can be used to expand the current audio anywhere in the room.
  • Stem Wall: The Stem Wall wall-mount speakerphone features 15 beamforming microphones and 2 full-range speakers and subwoofers, allowing everyone in the meeting to be heard.
  • Stem Control: The Stem Control 10" touchscreen controller can provide complete access to the Stem platform along with seamless integration with your favorite video conferencing platforms or touch-to-join meetings.
