About the Bazooka BT1214
A bass cannon
A bass cannon
Bass makes up about 30% of your music, and it gives music its power and impact. A good subwoofer can make an average car audio system sound good, and a good car audio system sound great. Good bass is all about moving air, and a cylindrical tube translates the motion of its woofer into maximum air pressure so you hear and feel more bass. Bazooka designed the Bass Tube to act like a bass cannon, firing low frequencies throughout your vehicle.
BT1214 12" Bass Tubes® enclosure
The BT1214 Bass Tube features a 12" polypropylene woofer with a twin-layer compressed foam surround for smooth excursion. The 4-layer voice coil ensures reliable power handling for plenty of punch, and its 4-ohm impedance allows you to power multiple tubes with a single amp. The tube design eliminates standing bass waves for accurate response and high efficiency. Find a good spot for a Bazooka Bass Tube in your vehicle and you'll still enjoy plenty of cargo room.
Bass Tubes enclosures fit just about anywhere
A compact Bass Tubes enclosure will fit in almost any vehicle, and you can disconnect it in a snap if you need more cargo space. Since the tube's speaker and port are right next to each other, you can get amazing results by "corner loading" your tube — placing it in a corner of your trunk or cargo area so your vehicle's boundaries act as a natural amplifier, boosting bass production. Bazooka BT1214 reviews
I ordered 2 of these bad boys, very happy with them running a mono 600 watt amp. Hits low deep bass
Pros: Good price, Deep bass, save space.
Cons: Should have got the dual voice coil subs.

The Bazooka 12" will shake the fillings out of your teeth. I installed one in my son's car to replace a 12" free air sub. It sounds good with classic rock, but just know going in that no vented enclosure will be as precise as a sealed system. If you want boom, this is the ticket. And the price isn't bad if you consider you'd have to build/buy a box for another sub. BTW, it runs off of the bridged back channels of a Crutchfield/SoundOrdinance 4050 amp.
Pros: Super efficient, gets LOUD with 100w rms
Cons: Make sure you have room for it since it is so big. It won't fit under the rear deck of a Crown Victoria, which is saying something.

A really great sub. If I'd known it would be this powerful I would've gotten the 8

I have to say this sub has a much deeper bass then the JL Audio Sealed 10's enclosure that it replaced. Takes a lil adjustment of levels but, after a week and a half of loud pounding firm bass its doin great. If it lasts a couple years I'll be even more impressed...only time will tell. This 12" tube is big and takes up the rear hatch well of my 95 Trans am where the T-Tops go. If size is an issue maybe try a 10" tube. Feels Good Man!!
Pros: Great Sound in a convenient package

You could never go wrong with a bazooka tube. Installed it in a 2017 Chrysler 200 great sound.
Pros: Clean bass, great range, easy to install and great price for the sound

This is a decent subwoofer, but I was surprised with the sound levels it was able to achieve. I purchased this unit to replace a single JBL GTO804 which had a torn rubber sound. I was looking for something that would play lower frequencies at higher levels. My vehicle has a trunk and I first tried the BT1214 positioned in the recommended location, next to the passenger side wheel well and pointed towards the rear of the vehicle. This took up a lot of room in the trunk so I repositioned it behind the rear seat and pointed at the passenger side wheel well. I could not hear any difference in sound quality or level between the two different locations, so that is where it was mounted. I hooked up the Bazooka to the same amplifier I already had mounted for the GTO 804 and used the same settings for cutoff and gain, but was surprised that with 12 inch woofer in a vented enclosure, the sound levels were for the most part were no different than than the 8 inch GTO804 in a sealed enclosure. There was one notable exception, the BT1214 was able to play some seriously low frequencies at much higher levels than the JBL GTO804. Unfortunately when it came to sound quality, the BT1214 suffers the same limitation that is typical of almost all vented enclosures. Bass notes sound muddy compared to the tightness that comes from a sealed enclosure. I did get what I wanted, higher output with low frequencies and I was expecting the degraded sound quality from the vented enclosure.
Pros: It will play low frequencies at high volumes. Installation is a breeze, find a spot to put it and secure the mounting straps with four screws, connect the leads and you are done.
Cons: The single biggest con is the price. For the price, even with Crutchfield's free shipping, I think it is too high for what you get. At $175 or lower I think it would be an better value.

Ever since I got my first bazooka 8" I'm hooked to improving my car audio. I've tried many boxes in my mustang convertible with its tiny trunk space but it seems that I've ended up with bazooka again. I've swaped the component subwoofer with a Kicker CVX 12" hooked to an amp and it was awesome! BUT I got married and now it's too much for my wife so I have to take it out. I've tried without the Bazooka but longing for the low end sound so after almost a month without it, I reinstalled it but with the original component sub for compromise. Now even thou I can't shake the neighbors window anymore but have the low end back that I've always wanted.
