About the Bazooka BT6024DVC

A bass cannon

The dual 4-ohm voice coils promote high power handling, and each voice coil has its own set of input terminals to give you maximum hook-up flexibility. A bass cannon

Bass makes up about 30% of your music, and it gives music its power and impact. A good subwoofer can make an average car audio system sound good, and a good car audio system sound great. Good bass is all about moving air, and a cylindrical tube translates the motion of its woofer into maximum air pressure so you hear and feel more bass. Bazooka designed the Bass Tube to act like a bass cannon, firing low frequencies throughout your vehicle.

Big bass without losing space

Bass Tubes enclosures fit just about anywhere

A compact Bass Tubes enclosure will fit in almost any vehicle, and you can disconnect it in a snap if you need more cargo space. Since the tube's speaker and port are right next to each other, you can get amazing results by "corner loading" your tube — placing it in a corner of your trunk or cargo area so your vehicle's boundaries act as a natural amplifier, boosting bass production. Product Research

Features

Overview: The BT6024DVC features a water-resistant poly enclosure that houses a 6-1/2" poly woofer with a foam surround. The patented Bass Tube enclosure design eliminates bass standing waves for high accuracy, and superior efficiency.

Dual 4-ohm Voice Coils: This tube features dual 4-ohm voice coils that offer flexibility in wiring. When the voice coils are wired in parallel with each other, the tube presents a 2-ohm mono load. When the voice coils are wired in series with each other, the tube presents an 8-ohm mono load. Each coil can handle 150 watts RMS, so the combined power handling is 300 watts RMS.

5-Way Binding Posts: The 5-way binding posts will accept bare wire, pin connectors, spade lugs, banana plugs, and dual banana plugs.

Installation: Each mounting strap has an attached mounting base that can be secured to your vehicle using the supplied self-tapping screws. Once the mounting bases are installed, the tube is held in place by the mounting straps. For best results, the tube should be mounted facing into a corner, and there should be 2" to 4" between the woofer and the corner into which the woofer is pointing.

I've had bazooka tubes in past and they are awesome. Perfect, clean fit in my truck, and provides a kick a&$ deep beautiful bass. [ Kevin  Nov 13, 2018 ]

I have used this tube in a BMW Z3, now in my Challenger. The tube puts out enough bass for me in the cabin but I want to move it to the trunk. I have a two channel amp already so I figured why not add 1 more tube. Not quite a thumping bass but I did not want the body parts vibrating to the bass anyway. Puts out plenty of kick for me. I wanted to relive my adolescence. I had a pair of 6.5 Bazookas in an '84 Mustang in '95 and loved them until the day they got ripped off. I sold and installed several hundred Bazookas in my day at a car audio shop in Lawrence Ks, These will fit very well behind the seat in my old crew cab dually that I have now. It should be a ton of fun and be in keeping with the old school vibe I'm looking for in this truck. [ Justin  Feb 14, 2017 ]
A
I've owned Bazookas in the past and they have good sound in small space. They fit nicely behind the seat of my Mazda pickup and sounded great. [ LAWRENCE F  Feb 06, 2017 ]

Q
Can you explain how adding a second voice coil doubles the rms power handling? This does not appear to be the case with any other brand of subwoofer.
[ A  Jun 04, 2017 ]
1 answer
A
The Bazooka BT6024DVC is rated to handle up to 150 watts RMS per voice coil (300 watts RMS total), compared to 100 watts RMS per coil (100 watts RMS total) on the Bazooka BT6014 single voice coil model. That's not the case for *every* dual voice coil subwoofer, but Bazooka chose to design theirs in that fashion. I think you want an amp for the impact of the bass consider an amp with the bazooka. I have also had good luck with powered subwoofers.
