It is great, yet I am in need of amp. To power the true sound of the power of the speaker tube's . When I get the money to buy one from u people,I will and I tried to install one amp,and old speakers tubes from mtx blew up!!!,o well.
Pros: Crutchfield is the best, out of all dealers. They stand buy there products!!amen to that, people need to check them out, before going anywhere else.
Cons: Don't trust others gimmicks selling a great brand,in the results that end bad for the buyer.

I had one dvc 6.5 and figured why not add another to the system. WOW what a difference!! Sounds like a pair of 12" I changed the wiring a bit and that's the difference. I bridged the amp, and extra voice coils and ran the two in series. Could not be happier with the tubes!!
Pros: Sounds twice their size

Great addition to my media system
Joe from East Northport, NY on 7/22/2018
Installed in 82 corvette. Addressed my lack of BASS when playing radio or blue tooth connected iPhone media. I was a little concern on the length of the BT6024DVC but fit nicely in the rear compartment which still had room for personal things to store. My plan is to match carpet color to the BT6024 so it blends in and not as noticeable. I was amazed at the bass response for the size of the speaker. Riding with the T-tops off I was still amazed how you can still hear the bass!!!! So far I am a happy camper.... Using the Pomona Model MDP 4892 or 4898 ( nickel plated or gold plated brass respectively) stackable double banana plug made connecting simply or more choices like adding another BT6024VDC in parallel...
Pros: Great sound!!! easy hookup...
Cons: connecting to the terminals with direct wire difficult. But the double banana plug made it simple...

Great little speaker for small places. Bought one but will be purchasing one more. Although one sounds good in a single cab toy pickup two would be better. Only thing I dislike and the reason it don't have 5 stars is because of the terminals. They leave a lot to be desired!
Pros: Great sound Great bang Buy in pairs
Cons: Terminals

6x9's hit harder
KK from Missoula, MT on 3/1/2016
Not a bad unit for the price, but my 6x9's in boxes (which are middle of the road but on an amp) hit harder than this. Not both of them together but just one will hit harder. It would add a little bass to a stock system but not much else. Your time (but probably not $) would be better spent with an 8" sub/box. Plus the wiring terminals are terrible, I used some needle nose pliers.
Pros: Price, packaging, does add bass
Cons: Doesn't add much bass, wiring terminals are tough to get at

Updated
KC from Colorado on 4/29/2015
Updated to reflect new information. Turns out, my sound issues were self inflicted!! RCA cables,ms peaked wires and power cable were too close together. Local shop redid my wiring, and re routed things. Now, I have no problems, get a good clean, decent Thump, from the sub!! Crutchfield team has been great, in helping me try to solve the problem!! Even as my frustration levels showed!! Many Thanks to them!
Pros: Good, clean bass Easy install, except terminal screws! Wonderful sound, under all types of music!
Cons: Terminal knobs for wires hard time turning by hand. Had to use needle nose pliers to tighten. 5 star, if not for this issue.

Crashed after a day
KCH from Colorado on 4/26/2015
Worked great the day it was installed. Next day, it started making popping/cracking sounds, regardless of stereo volume. Next thing I know, is ALL speakers in my truck were blasting static. Radio volume control had no affect. Had to turn off radio. Not sure if sub, amplifier or radio failed in a 2 day time frame! Worked perfectly before though.
Pros: Relatively easy to install. Decent sound.
Cons: No wiring diagram for the 4 terminal version. Hard to turn knobs when connecting wires. Had to use needle nose pliers to get good, tight connections. Can't use spade wire terminals to connect. Largest ones I found, don't fit!

Not my first SAS Bazooka. Well built casing. Great sound IF YOU PLACE IT AS THE DIRECTIONS DICTATE! I have never been let down with a SAS Bazooka tube of any size. Be sure to talk to Crutchfield to find out the one for you. The amplified ones I have had last forever. I'm sure this one will too. Let crutchfield pick it for you.
Pros: Well built. Sounds great. Affordable. Nice looking. Space saver. By a company that's established. Backs up there products. Worth every hard earned penny.
Cons: MUST BE PLACED AS THE DIRECTIONS DICTATE!

Low output. Use only if nothing else will fit.
jkhawaii from Hawaii on 4/9/2015
What I was hopeing for was punchy bass down to at least 35hz. Output is much much lower than one would expect with how its marketed and, there is no punch really. 250w was being sent to this at 2ohms. I could barely hear it. Just low quality over all. I would recomend this only if nothing else fits. But with all of the low profile subwoofers avalible today one could install a low profile 10 in less space than this bazooka tube. Quality door speakers and 6x9s would also over power this little tube. The wire terminals are also a reall pain to use (literally) with the way they are shaped and, the low clearance they should come with a special tool to turn them. This tube in no way sounds like 2 10s as other reviewers have said. Not even equal to 1 10. Maybe 4 of these would equal 1 10
Pros: Its light weight, durable, may be able to fit in locations other subs may not.
Cons: output from one of these is not enough unless one has a stock low power head unit with stock speakers. Wire terminals are a literal pain to use. low quality in every aspect. This isn't the 80's anymore the current low profile subwoofers in a custom box can be much smaller than even this 6 inch bazooka tube and out perform it.

Move the air
Dr. Jon from Louisiana on 3/22/2015
These are the second set we have had. The last one (single) gave up after about three years. This time we installed two and wired them in series for each enclosure and them both enclosures in parallel giving us a 4 ohm load on a single 150 W amp. To get that much base in a crew cab truck under the seats is incredible.
Pros: Moves a lot of air for a small woofer and frites in small places
Cons: Seams to have a three year life, the cone just gives out. Have to admit, we drive it very hard.

Big Sound, Little Package
Corey D from Paducah, KY on 9/17/2014
I first starting admiring Bazooka Tubes over 20 years ago. I had 2 passive 8" Bazooka Tubes and they were solid, loud, and clean. I have since used a couple others Bazooka Tubes in other cars to fill in some missing bass from the factory set up. I recently purchased an old truck, and I decided I wanted to upgrade the 19 yr old system it in. I purchased some Infiniti Kappas for the mids and highs. An Alpine head unit with a Power Pak took care of those. The bass was lacking, and I really didn't want to sacrifice any space in the single cab truck with a big box. I went back to Bazooka, and purchased this little 6" passive unit. I wanted the DVC in order to be able to go to 2 Ohms on my amp. This is just what I needed. It is clean, crisp, and not overwhelming. My other ride has a system that has shaken loose every nut and bolt in the car. I didn't want that in my truck. I wanted exactly what I got with this purchase a quality, well rounded sound. Do not buy this to shake the neighbors windows. Do not buy this to win over the guy next to you a a light. Buy this to add clean bass to your system without sacrificing space.
Pros: Small, adequate bass, easy to hook up, several options when using an amp.

AWESOME
Kmt from Somerset ky on 9/16/2014
Was skeptical because of shape, but liked the size of the sub, typically the smaller the clearer the sound and less muddy. I have a 92 ford f150, standard cab. I need the seat scooted all the way back to be comfortable, I ripped out my 2 "12 jbls because they took way too much room. Kept my Rockford fosgate amp, hooked it up and it sounds awesome, totally clear and powerful!

way more bass than I expected
Randy from ohio on 9/14/2014
I never expected such bass from this thing. everyone kept saying these don't sound all that great. what!? I have it in a small extended cap pickup powered by a 300w amp and this thing hits pretty darn good for a small sub. you can't hear it 20' away or anything like that but stick your head inside and on some songs it can take take your breath away from the sound pressure. maybe I have a good amp that can produce the lows everyone else seem to say this lacks. I don't know, but I'm extremely happy with this thing. everyone I let hear it is pretty impressed as well. a few of them are planning on getting one now.
Pros: seems to hit the lows just fine with a good amp small and lightweight.
Cons: a little hard to get my fingers on the terminals to turn them. and I wish it had the same band round the back like the front has so it looks like it wasn't lost.

Packs a Punch
Caleb J. from Louisiana on 1/28/2014
It was very easy to connect to my factory radio and the bass it produces is out of this world. I was very surprised with what it produces for only being a 6" subwoofer with enclosure. I would venture to say that it sounds way better than what I use to have with 2 10" kickers.

Great for filling in those low notes
Justin from Albuquerque, NM on 6/13/2013
This little guy surprised me quite a bit....I am not a bass head by any means, but I love to be able to hear the "full range" of sound...this sub picks up where the door speakers leave off...it fills in the low frequencies nicely and blends well with my Polk door speakers....it won't shake the neighborhood by any means but for such a small sub it goes a great job...it responds well to even the lowest notes of whatever I'm listening too...great add on to my system
Pros: Responds well to low frequencies (below 50 hz)...low price, small size and great build quality

Pros: Awesome design and sound! Never a doubt when I ordered this piece!
Cons: There are 4 speaker wire connections on this tube due to the dual voice coils. The outer connections are a little tough to deal with. Definitely need to be patient while connecting speaker wire inputs.

shopguyal from Seneca sc on 3/9/2012
I have a Toyota Tacoma standard cab, so size of the enclosure was a real issue. I have a Kenwood amp and a Sony receiver. I was completely blown away by the performance of the bazooka. I use the hpf and lpf in the Sony and none of the filters on the amp. It is a smooth, rich sound with no distortion. I have decided to order a second one I am so impressed. I have been a Cruthcfield customer since its inception. You will find no better customer service and available when it is convienent for you. Thanks Crutchfield.
Pros: Hard hitting, clean sound, and a quality component at a fair price.
Cons: Binding posts for connection are a tight fit and somewhat difficult to use. But once you're connected, you're done.

Pros: Fits nice behind the seat, great bass for the size, fair price.

I am really upset
Crutchfield customer from Sacramento, CA on 11/16/2011
I don't mean to sound disgruntled but I am upset. I thought with the sensitivity of this bass tube it would accent my car stereo with the power of my head unit. Wrong... Yes I tried reversing my wiring. I connected this to my home stereo and cranked it up with it's RMS maximum and it still did not put out nearly the bass I expected. So I bought a stereo amp for my car to push it as hard as it could handle and it still was not pushing hard enough to be audible over my front speakers. I could hear it but once the car started rolling I could barely notice it. Please note: I am NOT a bass head. I wanted to "warm" up the sound with a simple sub. This was not even close to filling that bill. Which is really disappointing. I loved the design of this and loved the small space requirements... Oh well... I am eating the cost on this thing. My recommendation, try to audition this first. Make sure not to take your time installing it, so if you don't like it you can still return it. My mistake that I held on to it a month before even trying to install it.
Pros: Price; Size; DVC
Cons: Weak; Horrible sound quality

Just right
Mike from Arkansas on 9/19/2011
I've had a 75w amp that's been sitting idle for a while and I decided to buy a Bazooka to hook to it. I put them in my Silverado extended cab (bass tube under back seat, amp just behind on ledge). The fit is great and the Bazooka is rugged and should hold up to our kids knocking around. I have a Pioneer stereo with high and low pass filters and the extra bass from the Bazooka paired with cutting back on bass to Infinity 2ways in the doors sounds just right. Thanks to Crutchfield for continued great service

Awesome Speaker
Terry from Dexter, NM on 7/8/2011
I recently had a 10" Pioneer subwoofer speaker in my Jeep Liberty. The sound was great but took up a lot of space. I saw the Bazooka Tube and it's mounting capabitlities it's what caught my eye. I read all the reviews about how the sound was great, but not that loud bass where people hear you coming a mile away. I was able to mount the Bazooka Tube in my cargo area on the wall of the drivers side. It gave me my cargo space back and the sound is awesome. Even for Techno songs it sounded great no distortion that some speakers do. I had this Bazooka Tube so far for a week in my Jeep and loving it. I have had a bunch of bazooka tubes over the last 20 years. I have a 2010 f250 crew cab. Not much room behind the rear seat, did not want to remove the fabric and insulation on the back wall for a box. This subwoofer fit just perfect behind the seat and produces really nice bass for the size. It will go head to head with a ten in a box. The first one I got from the outlet was blown but crutchfield sent me a new one immediately without waiting on the return. Great customer service. It has nice deep bass and I plan on adding another on the other side to replace the stock box and 8inch subwoofer. Running it off an almpine mp500 amp.

Rhett from Abilene, Texas on 3/11/2008
I bought one of these for my new Chevy extended cab pickup. This little sub added just the right amount of bass that I wanted to my truck. I hated how all the sub boxes looked in my rear cab and also how they ate up every single bit of extra space. This bass tube takes up hardly any space under the rear seat and is totally out of site. And it's easy to take out if I have to load up the rear cab. Great buy for the price!

This 6 creates enough bass for all but the biggest bass head. This 6 inch replaced two 8 inch dvc. This Bazooka is neck and neck with the two 8 in a custom box. It's all about the technology. FOLLOW THE RECOMMENDED INSTALL LOCATIONS! The design engineers know more then you. Trust them. Others have talked about distortion... I would say it is their amp and not the sub. Subs tend to bottom out, not distort. Amps clips and cause distortion. Bottom line... TECHNOLOGY! It's what makes a 4cyl Honda as fast as a V8 and a Bazooka brand tube as loud as 2 subs twice the size in a box. BAZOOKA BY SAS IS ALL YOU NEED!

Better Bass
Yardley from Alabama on 3/13/2006
I installed one Bazooka BT6024DVC in my 1990 F-150 standard cab. The unit fit nicely behind the seat. My old truck had only the two front speakers which I recently replaced. However, 6-1/2's just didn't have the lower end punch I was looking for. I installed the Bazooka and immediately noticed more lower-end. My Pioneer DEH-P3800MP receiver came equipped with the option of a sub output on the rear speaker wires so I used that instead of a separate amp. Overall I have a lower-cost system with decent bass for my occasional use vehicle. Give the Bazooka BT6024DVC a try but if you want BIG bass I suggest you get one of the larger tubes and pump it up with an amp.

I had my doubts because of size and wattage ratings whether this tube would thump or not. I used a small 2 channel Profile amp with built in crossover to power it. I installed it in the back of my Volvo wagon and cranked up TobyMac's new CD. My wife came running out of the house and wanted to know what that big rumbling was. I was glad to tell her that it was that little 6 1/2 inch sub in the back of the wagon. I am now tasked with installing one in her vehicle.
