About the Bazooka BT8028DVC
A bass cannon
A bass cannon
Bass makes up about 30% of your music, and it gives music its power and impact. A good subwoofer can make an average car audio system sound good, and a good car audio system sound great. Good bass is all about moving air, and a cylindrical tube translates the motion of its woofer into maximum air pressure so you hear and feel more bass. Bazooka designed the Bass Tube to act like a bass cannon, firing low frequencies throughout your vehicle.
BT8028DVC 8" Bass Tubes® enclosure
The BT8028DVC Bass Tube features an 8" polypropylene woofer with a twin-layer compressed foam surround for smooth excursion. The dual 8-ohm voice coils promote high power handling, and each voice coil has its own set of input terminals to give you maximum hook-up flexibility. The tube design eliminates standing bass waves for accurate response and high efficiency. Find a good spot for a Bazooka Bass Tube in your vehicle and you'll still enjoy plenty of cargo room.
Bass Tubes enclosures fit just about anywhere
A compact Bass Tubes enclosure will fit in almost any vehicle, and you can disconnect it in a snap if you need more cargo space. Since the tube's speaker and port are right next to each other, you can get amazing results by "corner loading" your tube — placing it in a corner of your trunk or cargo area so your vehicle's boundaries act as a natural amplifier, boosting bass production. Bought this to replace an older bass tube and it didn't disappoint. Loud, powerful thumping bass even with the top down. Good bass tube and a great value.
Pros: Sound, value

This product is very well built. I should have bought one years ago. I bought a scratch and dent because i wouldnt see it anyway. The product was in perfect shape and sounds awesome with a 400 watt amp pushing it in a ford ranger single cab. it looks like the truck came with a factory sub. most impressive tight bass ive heard in a long time. ive been buying from Crutchfield since the 80s. im gonna get a 10 inch bazzoka to try out on my other vehicles.
Pros: big boom small area
Cons: terminals for speakers lttle tight space for hookup

I was born in the early 70's. Experienced the disco era, cartoon Saturday's, eight track and LP's, breakdancing, boom boxes, cassette tapes, cd's, dvd's and the digital era. I was always captivated by technology. I'm a backyard experienced audio enthusiast. I've had a lot of experience with sound installations and with different products. I can recognize good quality music and appreciate a clean system. As I got older my sound system has been simplified. This 8"dvc 8 ohm bazooka is GOOD....of course it has a little port noise with some music, but for the price and size, this is a very good value for bass fulfillment. Granted it won't shake homes or your neighbors home but man, it sounds great. It's installed in a 06 Nissan Frontier crew cab. Pioneer DVD player, alpine 6x9 in front, alpine 6 3/4 coax in back, powered by an alpine 5 channel amp. I went 8 ohm on the dvc so the amp can run at a stable 4 ohm when I run the dvc in a parallel configuration. Set up is clean, sound is clean, mids and highs are well represented and that 8" represents!! Space for storage and passengers are not compromised! Plus it looks so kool as you open the rear driver door awesome grill greets you. The sound is wonderful. Miami bass booms to country to dub step and Hawaiian. All kinds of music are well reproduced. I would definitely recommend bazooka bass tubes, they've made a believer out of me. Try it out, you will not be disappointed.
Pros: Compact and very nice design. Value for the buck. Fairly light weight and sounds really good. It's a head turner.
Cons: Not much bad things to say, however, I've had bazookas back in the 80's. Design hasn't changed much besides cosmetics. But, there is port noise in some ranges and at certain volumes of course. However, it does not demean that this sub woofer is a contender for sure.

Cons: No cons

I am impressed to say the least. This is ideal for a bridgeable 2 channel amp that is 4 ohm stable. I am running a total of 380w RMS (190 per VC) and this out performs single 10" or 12" subs I've had in the past. This sub provides clean, hard hitting bass with a fast response. Works well with any style of music you throw at it. Hits notes that are sub 50hz where you feel the music rather than hear it. My setup: JVC Bongiovi deck, pioneer amps, 4 alpine 5 x 7's. Very even sound that is not heavy in any of the frequencies.

Overview: The BT8028DVC features a water-resistant poly enclosure that houses an 8" poly woofer with a foam surround. The patented Bass Tube enclosure design eliminates bass standing waves for high accuracy, and superior efficiency.
Dual 8-ohm Voice Coils: This tube features dual 8-ohm voice coils that offer flexibility in wiring. When the voice coils are wired in parallel with each other, the tube presents a 4-ohm mono load. When the voice coils are wired in series with each other, the tube presents an 16-ohm mono load. In addition, each coil may be connected to a different amplifier channel and each channel will see a 8-ohm load. Each coil can handle 200 watts RMS, so the combined power handling is 400 watts RMS.
5-Way Binding Posts: The 5-way binding posts will accept bare wire, pin connectors, spade lugs, banana plugs, and dual banana plugs.
Installation: Each mounting strap has an attached mounting base that can be secured to your vehicle using the supplied self-tapping screws. Once the mounting bases are installed, the tube is held in place by the mounting straps. For best results, the tube should be mounted facing into a corner, and there should be 2" to 4" between the woofer and the corner into which the woofer is pointing.
