About the Bazooka ELA265
Bazooka's Elevated Listening Series ELA265 amplifier comes loaded with all the features you'll need to tune up your car's system. Its extruded aluminum heatsink guarantees dependable and efficient operation even under extreme conditions.
This sharp-looking 2-channel amp produces 65 watts RMS per channel, plenty for a full dose of sound from your car speakers. Or you can switch to mono mode and pump 190 watts to a subwoofer. You can use the speaker-level inputs to connect the amp to a factory stereo without needing additional adapters or long patch cables.
Preamp outputs provide easy connections to another amp when it's time to expand your system. Use the low- and high-pass filters and bass boost to shape the sound for maximum clarity and punch.

Inputs, Outputs, and Controls
Features
DC Protection: This circuit protects the output of the amplifier against DC voltage. If for some reason DC voltage is detected at the output stage, the amplifier will shut down protecting the speakers from direct current.
Short Circuit Protection: This circuit protects the amplifier from damage due to a short found in the speakers or wiring. If one of the speakers or its wiring comes into contact with ground, the amplifier will shut down.
Thermal Protection: To protect the amplifier circuitry against damage caused by prolonged exposure to high temperatures, a thermal protection circuit is activated if the amplifier reaches an excessively high operating temperature. Once the thermal circuit is activated, the amplifier will shut down to cool off. The amplifier will automatically turn back on once it cools down to a safe operating temperature.
Internal Crossover: The built-in crossover can be set for high-pass or low-pass operation, or it may be turned off for full-range output (flat). The crossover is adjustable from 50-250Hz and has a slope of 12dB/octave.
Bass Boost: The ELA265 has a bass boost centered at 45Hz; the boost level can be set to 0 dB, 6 dB, or 12dB.
Line Output: The full range line outputs make it easy to add a second amp, without running a second set of RCA cables.

I use this amp to power an 8" subwoofer that I loaded into an old bazooka tube enclosure. I had to replace the woofer a few years ago so it handles more power than the usual bazooka tube. I have it bridged and it does a great job of powering the sub with the low pass filter.
