Hard-hitting Comp sub

The 12" Comp sub features a stiff injection-molded polypropylene cone supported by a double-stitched ribbed foam surround for deep excursion. Kicker's back-braced cone design keeps the woofer stable during those hard hits, while the perimeter venting system helps cool the sub's internal parts during demanding performances. A strong steel basket provides a stable foundation that won't flex during hard use.

Heavy-duty enclosure

Sturdy 3/4" medium-density fiberboard ensures long-lasting performance from the enclosure, and the enclosure's 4-ohm impedance allows compatibility with a wide range of amplifiers.

Features

Speaker Terminals: The spring post terminals are mounted on the left side of the enclosure and will accept pin connectors, single banana plugs, or bare wire up to 10 gauge.

Woofers: The Kicker 43VC124 enclosure uses one 12" Comp series subwoofer.

Break-in Period: Due to the complex nature of Kicker Comp speakers, they require a break-in period in order to produce optimum low-bass response. The suspension system is very stiff out-of-the-box. Approximately two weeks of daily playing will allow the suspension to break-in and reach its optimum equilibrium. Once broken-in, the subwoofer will exhibit stronger bass performance, smoother response, and greater low-bass extension.

Customer Q&A

Q
Crutchfield asked: Why did you buy this?
A
Needed to replace a 10 in a sealed box in my 4runner, decided that a ported 12 would probably work out better. Was an open box had some discount already and I had $14.00 in rewards to apply. [ Danny  Sep 29, 2018 ]
A
I chose this speaker box and sub woofer combo because it had both components I was looking for. However, there was a different set I would have preferred to this one, but unfortunately it was currently out of stock. [ A A  Nov 27, 2017 ]

Yes and if you dont have an aftermarket reciever you will need a sound processor as well to ensure quality bass.

Unless you have an stock amp powerful enough to run this, yes. I don't know if any car would have an amp powerful enough to run this. I would highly suggest you get an amp to run this
