About the Kicker 46KISLOAD2
Ensure signal flow
Ensure signal flow
Factory stereo systems are getting smarter and smarter these days — which unfortunately makes adding aftermarket amplifiers and processors more difficult. Often, the most convenient place to get audio signal is from a factory amplifier's output, which shuts down or distorts when the speakers are disconnected. Kicker's KISLOAD2 smart radio interface solves this issue by providing the resistive load the amp needs to operate properly, and passing the signal along without any distortion or loss of power.
High power
The KISLOAD2 can handle up to 400 watts RMS of power per channel, so it'll work well with a high-powered factory sub amp. Just make sure your line-output converter or your amplifier's speaker-level input can also handle that amount of power. Warranty: 1 year.
What's in the box:
- Smart-Radio interface
- Two 11" 2-channel speaker wire harnesses (input/output)

Features
Overview: The Kicker KISLOAD2 Smart-Radio Interface let you add an aftermarket 2-channel or mono amplifier to a factory sound system. Many modern factory radios feature built-in protection circuits that will mute the audio outputs if the factory speakers are removed. The KISLOAD2 has been designed to generate a load (25Ω) to stabilize the signal from the factory system and provide the best possible audio.
Connection: The KISLOAD2 Smart-Radio Interface gets wired in between the output of the factory radio or amplifier and the input of the new amplifier, accepting up to 40V (400W) of input signal. Two 11" harnesses provide 2 channels of signal input and output for running to a 2-channel or mono amplifier. If installing a 4-channel amp, the KISLOAD4 (sold separately) will be required.
