Not one to comment or write reviews, but this whole experience with Crutchfield was exceptional. I had called to confirm the out put of the stereo was compatible to the two different pairs of speakers for my 1992 Dodge D-250 extended cab and was fortunate to get Allison on the phone. I was surprisingly pleased with these because several previous speakers in this odd shape (4×10) have not satisfied but these sound great and with volume turned up the sound doesn't get distorted. I would definitely recommend these if you are looking for 4x10 speakers. 1985 Pontiac Fiero Gt

Solid replacement for OEM speakers

Sounds "fine". Granted, just using with the OEM Clarion sound system, and they are as good as the original speakers (that fell apart after 30 years and needed replacing). But it's not like these speakers are radically different sound-wise from what was in there originally. I found that the connection spades were a bit short for the original connectors, and so the fit wasn't very secure. But I was able to crimp down the original connectors to get them to grip better. The speakers do come with their own connectors and crimp splices, so another option would have been to cut off the old connectors and splice in the new ones. Put them into a 1990 Saab 900. On the off chance someone else might be getting these for the same application, I should note that the speakers, both OEM and these, have a plastic "gasket" of sorts that mates against the bodywork where the speaker mounts, and that the OEM speaker gasket is 7mm thicker than the gasket on these, which makes the original machine screws used to secure the speaker too long (they would poke into the trim). I wound up fabricating some spacers to make up the space, which works fine. The other option would been to cut the screws with a hacksaw. The speakers came with coarse-threaded screws and clips, but those screws would've been too long as well.

Put these in my 86 442. They sound much better than the older stock speakers considering that for 4x 10's were never a great speaker size (especially for bass). Keep in mind I wanted clean sound, I don't crank my stereo up for the neighborhood to hear. These speakers fit right in, simply remove the clips that secured the original speakers, used the wiring adapters (these are key for a speedy installation) supplied by Crutchfield and reused the stock hangers to reinstall the speakers, super easy installation, no drilling or need to use the screws. Happy with purchase, speed of delivery and ease of installation.

Figured I'd give these a shot. Big difference from stock speakers. Not made for huge bass but if your running a stock head unit or even an aftermarket radio without amp, these have just the right amount of bass and highs.

I replaced the factory 4 x 10's with these in my 1985 Monte Carlo SS. They sound amazing and I am really happy with them. I was not able to use the factory mount bracket as others said they have. The magnets on these speakers are thicker which they should be so I was not expecting to be able to use the brackets anyway. I just used self tapping sheet metal screws and they fit just fine.

There are not many 4×10 speaker available these days but these fit perfectly and the free connectors made installation quick and easy. They are a great improvement over the old stock speakers with my factory radio.

Can't go wrong with kicker. Sounds good and brought an aged sound system back to life. Installed in 95 suburban in to headliner back position. Will fit fine despite Crutchfield saying it doesn't fit. Note the plug adapter is different connection into GM factory plug than door speakers. But Crutchfield is awesome and Will include what you need.

Excellent quality and sound amazing. Crutchfield says these don't fit for the rear ceiling speakers of Tahoe/suburban/Yukon, but they fit perfectly in my 96 Yukon. Even the mounting holes line up! Worth the extra money to go with these over the retro sound ones.
