Dual voice coils for wiring flexibility

The 43CVR102 10" sub sports dual 2-ohm voice coils that give you more wiring options when setting up your system. The sub's cool-looking black finish highlights the potent low end you'll hear and feel.

Note: If you are wiring this DVC sub for lower impedance, make sure that your amp is compatible.

To drive this single subwoofer, we recommend a mono amplifier rated between 260 and 525 watts RMS at 1 or 4 ohms. For more information, please refer to our article on How to Match Subwoofers and Amplifiers.

I installed two of these in a vented down fire box in a 2019 Ram 1500. The sound is perfect. At this price point, you can't go wrong.

I put one of these into a 1.33 cu. ft. Sealed enclosure and put 300 watts rms through it and it really impressed me.

Pros: Solid performance with clear lows and plenty of boom.

Cons: None that I can tell.

This product is ridiculous, everything about it. The range is unmatched. If you have an amp that can push these subs right they will take your breath away.

Pros: Bass has ridiculous range. It hits hard with almost every song.

Cons: Nothing, I feel that if you take care of these speakers they will last forever.

Replaced the sub in my 2000 deville. Sound is tight and great, maybe a little better than the stock sub. It was not a direct bolt in, but had to drill new mounting screw holes.

Pros: Better than stock sub.

Cons: Not a direct bolt in.

Features

Dual Voice Coils: This woofer features dual 2Ω voice coils, offering wiring flexibility. When the voice coils are wired in parallel, the woofer presents a 1Ω load. When the voice coils are wired in series, the woofer presents a 4Ω load.

Rubber Magnet Boot: A black rubber boot covers the outside edge of the magnet structure to improve the cosmetics of the woofer and protect the magnet during installation. The boot is removable if needed for tight installations.

Break-in Period: The high-performance suspension system makes the speaker very stiff out-of-the-box. Approximately 2 weeks of daily playing will allow the suspension to break-in and reach its optimum equilibrium. A broken-in subwoofer will exhibit stronger bass performance, smoother response, and greater low-bass extension.

Sealed Enclosures: Sealed enclosures provide the most control over a woofer and provide accurate sonic reproduction, making them suitable to all types of music. Kicker recommends sealed enclosures from 0.8 ft³ to 3.0 ft³.

Vented Enclosures: Vented (or ported) enclosures typically provide better overall efficiency than sealed so they are suitable for use with smaller amplifiers, giving you more bass output from less power. Kicker recommends ported enclosures in the following range:

  • Minimum Enclosure Volume: 1.25 ft³ with a 10-1/2" x 2" x 20" slot port
  • Maximum Enclosure Volume: 1.75 ft³ with a 10-1/2" x 2-1/2" x 20" slot port

Thanks for your question. For information on selecting the best amp for your subs I would recommend reaching out to an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They will be able to help determine the differences between the amp models and help you make the best choice for your system.
