Dual voice coils for wiring flexibility

The sub's dual 4-ohm voice coils give you more wiring options when setting up your system. The sub's cool-looking black finish highlights the potent low end you'll hear and feel.

Note: If you are wiring this DVC sub for lower impedance, make sure that your amp is compatible.

Features

Dual Voice Coils: This woofer features dual 4Ω voice coils, offering wiring flexibility. When the voice coils are wired in parallel, the woofer presents a 2Ω load. When the voice coils are wired in series, the woofer presents an 8Ω load.

Rubber Magnet Boot: A black rubber boot covers the outside edge of the magnet structure to improve the cosmetics of the woofer and protect the magnet during installation. The boot is removable if needed for tight installations.

Break-in Period: The high-performance suspension system makes the speaker very stiff out-of-the-box. Approximately 2 weeks of daily playing will allow the suspension to break-in and reach its optimum equilibrium. A broken-in subwoofer will exhibit stronger bass performance, smoother response, and greater low-bass extension.

Sealed Enclosures: Sealed enclosures provide the most control over a woofer and provide accurate sonic reproduction, making them suitable to all types of music. Kicker recommends sealed enclosures from 0.8 ft³ to 3.0 ft³.

Vented Enclosures: Vented (or ported) enclosures typically provide better overall efficiency than sealed so they are suitable for use with smaller amplifiers, giving you more bass output from less power. Kicker recommends ported enclosures in the following range:

  • Minimum Enclosure Volume: 1.25 ft³ with a 10-1/2" x 2" x 20" slot port
  • Maximum Enclosure Volume: 1.75 ft³ with a 10-1/2" x 2-1/2" x 20" slot port

Q
looking to upgrade the sound system in my Chrysler 200 2016, I'm planning on putting 2 10' Kicker CompVR 43CVR104 subs in the trunk and grabbing a class a/b 1200 watt amp from Walmart for the price and whatever box I can find on fb marketplace, what kind of wiring will I need to complete the installation?

At the moment, we offer a Q-Customs enclosure that is molded specifically for your truck. It will work well with this subwoofer. Here's a link to the enclosure: www.crutchfield.com/p_044C1GMA11/item.html

Q
Hello I am thinking about running two Kicker CompVR 43CVR104 10" subs with one Kicker 48CWR84 8" sub for a total of 1000rms I think I'm still not sure how this works. But I thought that I could use the Rockfordfosgate Punch 1,000 Watt Class-bd Mono Amplifier P1000X1bd to power them would this work or would there be issues?

For best possible sound I would not suggest running different diameter subwoofers on the same amp, and in the same enclosure Bradley. I say use three 10" Kickers if you have the space, all the same matching speakers! You can wire three of these to 2.7-ohms by using the diagram in the first link below. You can still use the T1000-1bdCP that would safely power all three and put out good power to the 2.7-ohm load. https://images.crutchfieldonline.com/ca/learningcenter/car/subwoofer_wiring/3DVC_4-ohm_mono.jpg https://www.crutchfield.com/p_57510001CP/Rockford-Fosgate-T1000-1bdCP.html

Q
Hello. I'm looking to get this sub for a custom box in my 2001 jeep Cherokee xj. The box is sealed and has about .35 cubic feet of space so that it won't take up my cargo room. It's a sub-thump brand and you can look at the box at sub-thump . Com for the deminsions and other specs. So will this sub work for that box, would adding polyfill make it work, or do you have any recommendations for a good sub in i?. Thanks so much
