Overbuilt? More like built just right
Kicker designed their CompR subs for people who love to hear strong bass in their music. The CompR 43CWR152 15” subwoofer comes equipped with a tough, polypropylene cone that stays rigid during intense play sessions so you hear accurate bass. A custom-designed back and top plate give the woofer plenty of room to travel, while the durable rubber surround helps to control cone movement during a heavy workout. This sub uses extensive venting in its heavy steel basket to shrug off heat, so you can count on reliable performance.
Say hello to system flexibility
This Kicker CompR sub will handle up to 800 watts RMS so make sure you have an amplifier that'll do it justice. Its dual 2-ohm voice coils give you more wiring options when setting up your system, and this versatile sub works well in sealed or ported enclosures.
To drive this single subwoofer, we recommend a mono amplifier rated between 600 and 1200 watts RMS at 1 or 4 ohms. For more information, please refer to our article on How to Match Subwoofers and Amplifiers.

Kicker 43CWR152 reviews
Great subwoofer. Wired it down to 1ohm and set the gain for 800rms. Handles it perfect!! Not quite broken in yet so not getting a full excursion. Have it in a box they actually sell here. The Memphis ported box. After doing some measuring and figuring came to be 32-33 hz. Sounds very good inside that box.hits the lows great and actually hits the higher 100-150s I would for sure reccomend this subwoofer to anyone wanting very loud and hard hitting bass. Just this one out hits the two 12inch Rockford p3 12s I had at 1ohm 1200rms ported in a box to Rockford specs. Seriously get this if your on the fence!!!
Pros: Loud. And hard hitting Handles the rated power with ease!!!! Doesn't need a huge amount of cu. in. Budget friendly
Cons: Not really anything. Only thing is no installation hardware.

Sealed Enclosure Applications: Kicker recommends sealed enclosure volumes from 2.8 ft³ to 3 ft³. Sealed enclosures provide the most control over a woofer, will handle a lot of power, and provide accurate sonic reproduction, making them suitable for all types of music.
Ported Enclosure Applications: Kicker recommends ported enclosure volumes from 3 ft³ to 5 ft³. Slot port dimensions are given in the manual for the minimum enclosure volume (15-1/2" x 2-3/4" x 25-3/4") and the maximum enclosure volume (15-1/2" x 3" x 22"). Ported (or vented) enclosures typically provide better overall efficiency than sealed, so they are suitable for use with smaller amplifiers, giving you more bass output from less power. However, this efficiency comes at the expense of very low frequency output.
