About the Kicker CompRT 43CWRT101
A thin sub with fat bass
A thin sub with fat bass
If you're looking for bass for a tight space, Kicker designed their CompRT subs with compact cars, pickup trucks, and ATVs in mind. The low-profile 43CWRT101 10” subwoofer performs just like a full-size sub, but without killing all your cargo space. This high-performance CompRT sub stands less than 3-1/2" tall, so your installation options are wide open.
Built with boom in mind
The 43CWRT101 comes equipped with a rigid injection-molded polypropylene cone that won't flex and cause distortion while you're cranking the bass. Its rubber surround will last through years of heavy use, combining with a special-design back and top plate to give you more excursion (which equals more bass) than other skinny subs.
Made to work with many systems
This sub handles up to 400 watts RMS so make sure you've got a solid amp to power it. You can wire the dual voice coils for either 2- or 1/2-ohm total impedance, giving you more wiring options when setting up your system. This versatile sub sounds great in sealed or ported enclosures.
Important Note: If you are wiring this DVC sub for extremely low impedance, make sure that your amp is compatible. You can damage or destroy your amp by exceeding recommended minimum impedance.

Kicker CompRT 43CWRT101 reviews
Very very surprised how well this 10" sub sounds. Put it in my RZR, space was tight. This sub rocks.
Pros: Fits in small enclosure, hits very hard, great sound quality.

I purchased as "scratch and ding" and it wasn't virtually untouched. There is a weird component to these in the fact that you need to configure the dual voice coils to match your amplifiers optimum output. Just read the manual and it will be fine. I have had an Alpine SWT-10 ten inch subwoofer as well as the JL Audio 10-TW3. I switch and change things often looking for a particular sound. I listen to all types of music but all of it either in digital format or on Sirius XM. Not lossless audio but at a very good bitrate. I was never disappointed in the other subwoofers but something was amiss. Perhaps the box size was wrong, I am just not sure. The Alpine would bottom out and "cough" for lack of a better term. The JL subwoofer was awesome but expensive (I had a pair and sold them). This left me in need of a subwoofer. I purchased this one knowing that if I absolutely had to I could return it. I have a small (and also inexpensive) Alpine MRV-500 amplifier. I installed with minimal expectations. It absolutely blows my mind how responsive and deep this woofer is. It amazes me. This is incredible. I have a new GMC Sierra crew can and it does shake the rear view mirror. It is simply awesome. Do not hesitate to buy this. Crutchfield has dealt with Kicker for decades and they deserve it. Whatever you thought or believe just try this one. You will absolutely not regret the purchase.

Very nice sub for limited space. I am still in the break in stage but it has a lot of "Down Low" already with the amps turned down. Can't wait till next week so I can throw the full load to them and see what they can do!
Pros: Shallow mount. Great Sound
Cons: None yet

Crisp Hard Hitting Bass out of a Small Package. Kicker out done themselves with this one. I have had CVT subwoofers in the past, Kicker's original Shallow sub and added one CompRT to my latest vehicle and can't say enough about Kicker quality. All of my experiences with their products have exceeding expectations. I love this little thing paired with a Pioneer GM-D8601 amp I already had. I wired the DVCs in series with about 500watts RMS at 2ohm load. She thumps especially for one 10 inch sub. Couldn't be happier, cannot beat Kicker quality! I won't own another brand of subwoofer ever again after how well Kicker has performed for me in multiple instances this one being the latest.
Pros: Size, construction, air requirements, power handling. BIG Bass from a small piece of equipment to fit tight space requirements, especially those of a Truck.

Updated a 16yr old system with some basic upgrades starting with this sub and completely blew away the JL existing already in there. 2002 f350 7.3 crew cab
Pros: Slimmer design , quick bass response for all types of tunes ,
Cons: Must tweak amps and head unit custom to tube it completely to your taste , only side that takes time

Dual Voice Coils: This woofer features dual 1Ω voice coils, offering wiring flexibility. When the voice coils are wired in parallel, the woofer presents a 1/2Ω load. When the voice coils are wired in series, the woofer presents a 2Ω load.
Shallow-Mount: Kicker's CompRT series is designed to minimize depth, giving you subwoofer options where standard enclosures don't fit. The vent-less, solid-pole design allows the woofer to be mounted directly against the rear wall of a sealed enclosure.
All-Weather: Although not marine certified, Kicker describes the CompRT series as weatherproof.
Sealed Enclosures: Sealed enclosures provide the most control over a woofer and provide accurate sonic reproduction, making them suitable to all types of music. Kicker recommends sealed enclosures from 0.4 ft³ to 1.25 ft³.
Vented Enclosures: Vented (or ported) enclosures typically provide better overall efficiency than sealed so they are suitable for use with smaller amplifiers, giving you more bass output from less power. Kicker recommends ported enclosures in the following range:
- Minimum Enclosure Volume: 1.25 ft³ with a 10-1/2" x 2" x 20" slot port
- Maximum Enclosure Volume: 1.75 ft³ with a 10-1/2" x 2-1/2" x 20" slot port
