The rugged ported box was designed as a perfect match for the subs, so you can count on getting maximum performance, no matter what kind of music you prefer.

Two hard-hitting CompC subs

Each 12" CompC sub features a flex-resistant polypropylene cone for hard-hitting lows without distortion, with a ribbed foam surround that promotes long excursion and helps to keep the cones on target. A heavy-duty steel basket provides a reliable foundation for big bass, and extensive venting ensures long-lasting performance that won't break down when the bass gets heavy.

Heavy-duty enclosure

Sturdy medium-density fiberboard ensures long-lasting performance from the enclosure, and the special-design side port enhances bass production without getting sloppy. The enclosure's 2-ohm impedance draws maximum power from your mono amplifier.

Q
Does this set up need a break in performed ?
[ Lee  Sep 04, 2021 ]
1 answer
A
Break in periods are a good idea for all speakers. Once properly installed, and the amp has been tuned and calibrated. I would keep the volumes and levels between50-75% for the first 20-30 hours of lay time to allow for break in.

I have an alpine 500. It seems to be a perfect match. Depends on what vehicle and where you're placing it though too. Mine is in a Suburban

No cap needed.
[ FRANCIS  Aug 19, 2021 ]
A
Not necessarily, but depending on the type of vehicle you are putting this in . Newer vehicles have a lot of sensors and electrical stuff that draws a lot from the battery. I'm running these on a 05 4Runner no cap needed at all . And I have led lights no dimming at all
[ Dre23  Aug 18, 2021 ]

Q
i have a 2015 nissan pathfinder with stock Bose premium audio that has 13 speakers. Can i add the Kicker dual comp c 12 inch subwoofers on top of that?
[ Jeffrey  May 31, 2021 ]

A
You will want to contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat to discuss compatibility with your factory system. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and see if this will integrate. If it does not, then they will also be able to discuss other options with you.

Q
I am trying to decide between these subwoofers and the MTX TNP212DV. I want harder hitting bass but I'm not sure that more watts means louder/bigger bass. If you have any different suggestions I'm open to them. Which should I get for harder hitting bass?
[ Noah  Jan 05, 2021 ]
1 answer
A
I've had both. The kicker is definitely a clearer deeper sound than the mtx, I've since replaced my mtx with the kicker in my Suburban, I have the mtx in my volkswagen CC now. If you tune it right, they both are great value for the price. If you're just looking for more hit, go for the mtx, if you want real loud clear low tones the kicker wins they're, but the mtx is more than capable, and I'm sure you'll be satisfied with either

Q
Can this use a mono amp or 2- channel?
[ Aidan  Nov 16, 2020 ]

A
Mono amplifier is best suited

Q
Can this go in a 2018 Honda Civic. And can the stock speakers handle it or should I replace all the stock speakers?
[ Jim  Mar 25, 2020 ]

A
Yes there is likely room for that enclosure depending on where you are trying to put it and what exact model Civic you have. You can connect with one of our friendly product advisors about finding speakers to balance out the sound and an amp to power the subs. https://www.crutchfield.com/I-rET1c290/S-SUliZgSTXG7/support/ContactUs.aspx
