Innovative woofer

The woofer's forged aluminum frame and Santoprene™ rubber surround handle high-level playback, while keeping the cone on track. The injection-molded SoloKon™ polypropylene cone features 360-degree, constant-contact back bracing for strength and responsiveness. And the UniPlate™ back plate and pole piece are made as a single, solid unit to allow heat to escape the motor. Translation? Kicker designed these subs to take some serious punishment.

Features

Enclosure: The Kicker Solo-Baric 44DL7S122 enclosure is constructed of thick, solid MDF with a custom engineered port design. Heavy internal bracing keeps the enclosure from flexing during use and durable rounded corners resist dents and dings when moved around. The enclosure is covered in aircraft-grade black carpeting.

Driver: The 44DL7S122 includes two Solo-Baric L7S 12" drivers wired to a single 2Ω output. Each driver's unique square design allows it to move more air than conventional round speakers while handling high power. Other key features include an injection-molded Polypropylene cone and Santoprene surround with patented corner ribs, and SoloKon 360˚ back bracing, all to help minimize distortion under heavy use. Kicker's UniPlate backplate and pole piece with perimeter venting provide excellent heat dissipation.

What gauge wire kit is best to use?

This depends more on the amp used rather than the Kicker 44DL7S122 itself, Damien. That being said, most amplifiers that can reliably deliver 1500-watts RMS will need the largest wiring kit we have available, the 1/0 size in the link below. Kicker did not tune this box to 25hz. I spoke to them it's tuned to 33hz might want to fix that answer?

I am not sure where the 25 Hz answer came from upon looking at the product. We do not have a tuning frequency listed at all. I fear a mix up may have happened here. Thanks for pointing this out to us, we will reach out to Kicker and get the correct information!

Are these capable of 1ohm?
