Overview: The Kicker Klock Werks FHDESU96 upgrade kit contains a pair of Kicker PS5250 5-1/4" speakers and a PXA200.2 two-channel amplifier, along with all the necessary wiring and mounting hardware to install them in your 1996 - 2013 Harley Davidson Electra Glide, Street Glide, Ultra Glide, and trikes with bat wing fairing.

Installation: Installation of the speakers and amplifier is designed to be a direct fit, with all the necessary wiring and mounting hardware provided, so no drilling or cutting is required. The included amplifier mounting bracket mounts the amp on top of the factory radio, so no usable space is taken up. A pre-loomed harness is provided that plugs into the amp and has speaker wire terminated to plug into the factory radio harness for the input signal to the amp. Speaker output wires are also terminated to plug into the factory speaker harnesses and then to the new speakers. The wiring loom also includes a power wire to attach to the battery, ground wire, and remote turn-on. The PS5250 5-1/4" speakers are designed to be a direct fit using the original factory speaker brackets.

PXA200.2 Amplifier:

• Overview: PXA series amplifiers are designed for motorized vehicles with small battery/charging systems; Kicker's new Direct Amp Technology uses the vehicle's charging system as its power supply, offering 90-percent efficiency. Very little ventilation is required for cooling the PXA200.2, making it ideal for compact mounting spaces.
• Power Output: The PXA200.2 is a stereo amplifier designed to output 50 watts RMS x 2 channels at 2Ω (< 1% THD+N), 25 watts RMS x 2 channels at 4Ω, and 100 watts RMS x 2 channels at 1Ω (<1% THD+N).
• Controls: The controls for the amplifier include a rotary gain control and four DIP switches. The DIP switches, located on the end of the amp under a rubber cover, can select the following:
  • High Pass Crossover: 60Hz, 80Hz, 100 Hz, 120Hz or off, based on the configuration of two DIP switches.
  • Input Level: select high (speaker level) or low (line level).
  • Auto Turn-on: select 12V (amp turns on when +12 volts is applied to the remote wire in the harness) or DC (amp turns on when a 6 volt surge is detected from a speaker level source).
• Differential Audio: The differential audio circuit reduces the likelihood of picking up any engine noise, and helps lower THD (Total Harmonic Distortion).
• Weather Resistant: The PXA Amps are weather-resistant, using a conformal-coated circuit board for protection against the elements. They also include no-rust stainless-steel mounting hardware.

PS5250:

• Overview: The Kicker PS5250 (PowerSports series) is designed as a drop-in replacement for the factory speakers in 2006 and later Harley-Davidson premium audio systems. The included grilles fit H-D's Bat-wing fairing.
• Compatibility: While designed for Harley-Davidsons, the PS5250 is fully weatherproof and can also be used on other motorcycles, ATVs, boats, and outdoor applications.
• Neodymium: Ounce for ounce the woofer's neodymium magnet structure is 10-times more powerful than a standard ceramic magnet, providing high output with extremely low weight. The light weight (approximately 12.6 ounces per speaker) has little effect on the bike's center of gravity.
• Tweeter: The 3/4" neo-titanium dome tweeter is bridge-mounted, suspended over the center of the woofer cone and designed to withstand the extreme vibration encountered in the motorcycle/ATV environment.
