Hard-hitting CompC sub

The 10" CompC sub features a flex-resistant polypropylene cone for hard-hitting lows without distortion, with a ribbed foam surround that promotes long excursion and helps to keep the cone on target. A heavy-duty steel basket provides a reliable foundation for big bass, and extensive venting ensures long-lasting performance that won't break down when the bass gets heavy.

Heavy-duty enclosure

Sturdy medium-density fiberboard ensures long-lasting performance from the enclosure, and the special-design side port enhances bass production without getting sloppy. The enclosure's 4-ohm impedance is compatible with a wide range of amplifiers.

Q
Will it fit behind the seat of a 2005 regular cab Ford ranger?
zach  Feb 12, 2023
1 answer
A
That is a great question, Zach. We do not qualify universal subwoofer enclosures like this in our Vehicle fit guides. I do have some rough subwoofer space measurements listed for your truck, even with that info we advise measuring carefully and comparing to the listed specs for the subwoofer boxes to ensure a fit. It looks like for my listed numbers the depth of this Kicker CompC 44TCWC104 box is too deep, boxes less that 6" deep are a good fit for your truck. Consider this Rockford Fosgate R2S-1X10 sealed subwoofer, this does seem a better fit! https://www.crutchfield.com/p_575R2S1X10/Rockford-Fosgate-R2S-1X10.html

Q
will this fit under or behind the back seat of a 99 gmc sierra extended cab?
emmy  Jan 10, 2023
1 answer
A
Greetings Emmy, and thank you for your question. We do not take measurements of the space under the seating of vehicles. The box dimensions are 21-1/2"W x 15"H x 7-5/8"D1 x 4"D2. Unfortunately you will have to measure under the seat to see if it can fit.

Q
I have an Alpine BBX-F1200 4 channel amp. Will this power 2 of these boxes and the doors?
eddie  Nov 28, 2022
1 answer
A
This amplifier would not be sufficient to power two of these subs and the doors. For help with matching amplifiers to subs and speakers, please reach out to our advisors via online chat or phone at 1-800-324-9695.

Q
is this a front or down firing subwoofer?
ryan  Jul 16, 2022
1 answer
A
This Kicker CompC 44TCWC104 ported truck enclosure is designed to be front firing, Ryan. That being said, we have seen folks slide one or two of these under the rear seats in some applications OR laying flat in a hatch or trunk with good results too! Down firing is really the only option that won't work here sadly. The good news is that no matter where or how you put it, these Kickers bang!

Q
What I need amp for this Kicker CompC 44TCWC104 sub?
jatinder  Mar 20, 2022
1 answer
A
Yes you will need an amp for this. A mono 1 channel amp will be all you need. I would get a minimum of a 500 watt rms amp and make sure your power cable from the battery is 4awg or larger.
dustin  Mar 21, 2022
Q
What Amp is recommended to run 2 of these?
james  Aug 19, 2021
1 answer
A
I was recommended an 800 watt Kicker amp. It's got some good kick without overpowering what the subs can take. You can find it on crutchfield by looking up kicker mono amp.

Q
Will this fit in a 2020 tacoma quadcab if I remove the plastic storage panels behind the rear seat?
james  Aug 08, 2021
2 answers
A
This does not fit. I removed the plastic storage and it will slide into the spot but the brackets push the top out and the seats will not latch and it is to wide to fit behind the driver's side rear seat
james  Aug 22, 2021
A
I would think so.. it is about five inches at the base and four at the top.

We did not remove those panels as part of our research on the pickup and do not know how much space would be created with them removed.

Would this pair well with the Kicker Key 500.1 or should I go with the 2 ohm version?

A 500 would over power it a ton. Good Choice if your limited on space. Bad if bot , I see more emotion on the same sub with more air space.

I would like to think so. I had an 85 s-10 single cab and it would have fit in it behind seat with the way box tappers. I think it's a great addition for price.
curtis  Apr 30, 2020

You're best bet is to read the dimensions of the sub and then measure as best you can behind your truck seat.

I fit it in the back of my 1999 f150 but it wouldn't fit under the seat. Before I fit it in the back of my 1990 gmc sierra and most of it fit, only about 5 inchss stuck out.
