Hard-hitting CompRT sub

The CompRT 6-3/4" sub features a flex-resistant polypropylene cone for hard-hitting lows without distortion, with a ribbed foam surround that promotes long excursion and helps to keep the cone on target. A heavy-duty steel basket provides a reliable foundation for big bass, and extensive venting ensures long-lasting performance that won't break down when the bass gets heavy.

Replaced stock sub which had blown out for the second time. Easy install, mates well to the factory amp. Sounds very good, no distortion or boom, doesn't rattle windows but didn't want that anyway. 2002 Mitsubishi Montego LTD. Infinity factory system.

Better than I was expecting

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I have Ford Sport Trac and I got this hoping it would fit behind the rear seat where the factory 6.5" subwoofer was. It was a tight squeeze, but it did indeed fit without any issues. The sound was pretty good, a little better than expected. I've had two 6.5" Bazookas in the cab of a small truck and this Kicker set up sounds better. The other day I was thinking about things and decided to try the sub under the passenger side rear seat. What a big, big difference! The bass is much deeper and louder. Now I'd say that I'm thoroughly impressed. It has the sound and feel of a solid 8" subwoofer. I'll end up getting another one.

Pros: Quality craftsmanship. It looks sharp. Compact. Rich, full bass response. Cost to value ratio is strongly in favor of the consumer for this one.

Cons: For a small sub like this, no cons whatsoever.

What is this, a sub for ants?

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I've got two of these wired in a 2ohm load to a kenwood 300 watt amp, they're really well made, look unique and hit surprisingly low due to the passive radiator. I have them laying under my rear seats in my Nissan Titan and while they do shake the mirrors a bit, they're still only 6.75" subs, so don't expect TOO much.

Pros: Small, different, well made, not too expensive

Cons: Gotta lift my seats to show them off! Lol!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I have been waiting for this micro sub to be released since I fist came across it because it is the only prefab sub that will fit into the 2017 Ford Super Duty's rear under seat storage system. I wasn't expecting much from such a small package and was blown away with it's output. I'd say it's doing about 80% of what the JL Audio 10" Sealed Power Wedge puts out in my wife's SUV. Just amazing for the size and price. I have it powered with an older JL Slash 250/1 V2 that also powers the Pioneer 8" sub driver that I have mounted in the OE sub enclosure.

Features

Overview: The Kicker CompRT TC-WR67 is a compact loaded subwoofer enclosure with a single 4-ohm 6-3/4" driver and a 6-3/4" passive radiator. This wedge-shaped enclosure will fit into many tight spaces, such as behind a truck seat, in a trunk, or behind the seat of your hatchback. The TC-WR67 comes with mounting brackets and hardware.

Enclosure: This CompRT Thin Profile enclosure is built of sturdy medium-density fiberboard (MDF). It has rounded corners and sturdy black carpeting with the Kicker CompRT logo stitched into the top. The round terminal cup is located on the left side with two heavy duty spring loaded mounting posts presenting a 4-ohm load. The posts will accept bare wire, pin connectors, and single or dual banana plugs. The enclosure's dimensions are 15-1/2" wide, 10" high, and 5-11/16" deep.

Driver/Passive Radiator: The TC-WR67 is loaded with a 4-ohm CompRT 6-3/4" subwoofer. The speaker features a unique heat management system to keep the voice coils cool to prevent failure. The Kicker engineers added a Reflex Subwoofer (passive radiator) to the loaded enclosure for extra smooth, deep bass. The cone and the passive radiator both have Kicker's signature red stitching on the surround.

Mounting: The subwoofer comes with two metal mounting brackets and the hardware for mounting the enclosure securely to your vehicle.

Crutchfield asked
Why did you buy this?

Small and different [ RICHARD A  Jun 01, 2018 ]
I think this item is going to be the best fit for my Sport Trac. I didn't want anything under the rear seat. I wanted to have something where the factory subwoofer went which is perfectly out of sight and stock in appearance. The measurements look good, so I'll see! [ Ethan  May 31, 2018 ]
fits perfectly behind the seat. have a 6.5" bazooka that isnt bad but sounds a little muddy with my kenwood 150w rms and dont think it can take it.ill see how this sub does [ Robert  Nov 03, 2017 ]
Needed a powerful speaker for a small space. [ Christopher  Oct 27, 2017 ]

1 question already asked

I haven't used an underseat sub personally but have heard the sound from others. I'd say this one works way better. Still compact but it delivers a HUGE amount of bass and power. Mine is also connected to a kicker 1200 watt amp. [ Bernard  Dec 18, 2018 ]
Yes definitely get it [ Angel  Dec 17, 2018 ]
I personally feel it is better than the under seat sub-woofer. [ william franco  Dec 17, 2018 ]
I honestly can't answer that because I've never been in a vehicle with that style of subwoofer. At least aftermarket. Plenty of OEM. [ Paul  Dec 17, 2018 ]
I have a factory under the seat subwoofer in my Subaru that you barely notice is there. This Kicker went in my small truck and it did NOT disappoint me. I think the passive speaker adds a lot to the output of this speaker. More base than I need. [ Steven  Dec 17, 2018 ]
Depends on placement. Mine is in the back of an SUV and performs quite well. Excellent sound with no annoying boom. [ Charles  Dec 17, 2018 ]
I think it works very well for its size, and I may get another one for behind drivers seat. [ MICK  Dec 17, 2018 ]
