About the Kicker TRHDP Audio Programmer

For installers and serious DIY people

When you install a Kicker speaker/amplifier upgrade kit on your Harley-Davidson motorcycle, you also need to reflash the factory radio through the stock engine control module (ECM) in order for the radio to recognize the new gear. You could take your bike to the dealership and pay them to reflash the system, or you could do it yourself using Kicker's TRHDP Audio Programmer.

Plug it in

You download the app from Kicker to your laptop. Then you plug the programming module and your computer into your Harley-Davidson's 6-pin diagnostic port and launch the program. You make some selections according to which bike you have and which upgrade you've installed. The program automatically optimizes the factory system to match up with the new speakers and amplifiers, and greatly improves the power and fidelity of the sound.

Product Research

Features

Overview: The Kicker TRHDP Audio Programmer allows you to reflash the factory radio on select 2014-up Harley-Davidson motorcycles, after adding an optional Kicker 2- or 4-speaker/amplifier upgrade system such as the FHDESU1 or FHDR15G (both sold separately).

Programming: After adding an optional Kicker speaker/amplifier upgrade system to your select 2014-up Harley Davidson, the factory radio will need to be reflashed in order to recognize the new aftermarket amplifier and provide optimal sound quality. After downloading and installing the required software, the programmer module then gets plugged into the bike's 6-pin diagnostic socket, allowing you to complete the programming procedure, as well as read and reset diagnostic codes. The required software can be found here. From this page, select Single User Products, then download the Maximus software.

Note: Only available for Windows XP, 7, 8, and 10. Mac not supported.

Note: Re-flashing the factory radio requires the stock ECM to be installed on the bike. If an aftermarket ECM is present, it will need to be removed and the factory ECM re-installed.
