The rugged ported box was designed as a perfect match for the sub, so you can count on getting maximum performance, no matter what kind of music you prefer.

Hard-hitting CompC sub

The 12" CompC sub features a flex-resistant polypropylene cone for hard-hitting lows without distortion, with a ribbed foam surround that promotes long excursion and helps to keep the cone on target. A heavy-duty steel basket provides a reliable foundation for big bass, and extensive venting ensures long-lasting performance that won't break down when the bass gets heavy.

Heavy-duty enclosure

Sturdy medium-density fiberboard ensures long-lasting performance from the enclosure, and the special-design side port enhances bass production without getting sloppy. The enclosure's 2-ohm impedance draws maximum power from your mono amplifier.

Customer Q&A

Q
Will this fit in the back of a 98 jeep tj with the back put in?
cody  Sep 26, 2022
1 answer
A
This will likely be too large to fit the back of a 1998 Jeep TJ. This subwoofer enclosure measures at 17-1/2"W x 16"H x 14-5/8"D1 x 11-7-16"D2. The depth varies since the subwoofer enclosure is sloped. For more help with picking the best subwoofer for your application, please chat on our website or give our advisors a call at 1-800-324-9695.

Q
Will this speaker perform well with a kicker key 500.1 smart amp ?
darrell  Jun 07, 2022
1 answer
A
Greetings Abele, and thank you for your question. The Kicker Key 500.1 is a perfect match amp for the Kicker 44VCWC122. The sub is rated for 300 watts and is 2 ohms, that amplifier puts out 300 watts at 2 ohms.

Kicker 43CXA3001 Sub Amplifier CXA300.1 Mono Amp 300W

A
It depends on your intention for future-proofing. If you plan to use this sub for a decent amount of time, the AudioControl ACM 1.300 is a great option as it doesn't output more than the sub maxes at. It also combines an LC2I, so if you needed a line output converter for your stereo, you would not have to buy that separately.

The Amp I used was made by Alpine PDR-V75 it has 75 watts rms for 4 channels at 4ohms + 350 watts RMS for 1 channel at 2 ohms, it puts a lot of power out and doesn't short out or crackle, definitely would recommend!!!! I used this to power my entire sounds system in my car.

Q
What wire gauge is used between the sub and the terminal cup inside the enclosure?
nathan  Sep 09, 2019
1 answer
A
That is not included on any spec sheet, or product information that I am able to find. I would guess at a minimum of 16 gauge, if not thicker than that. The terminal accept up to 10 gauge wire.

Q
Can you use banana plugs for this subwoofer or any type of terminal adaptor instead of the wires?
sergio  Mar 24, 2019

A
Yes,you can use banana plugs.I used wire ferrules myself.Just crimped a ferrule onto the wire and inserted into the push terminals on the box.

Q
Is the woofer in this box a dual 4ohm voice coil wired in parallel or is it a single 2ohm voice coil?
john  May 30, 2017
1 answer
A
Thanks for your question. The subwoofer's dual 4O voice coils are internally wired in parallel to present a 2O load at the single pair of spring post wire terminals. Hope this helps.
