A little pricier than I normally go on car speakers, but I'm glad I did! These are the best sounding 5 1/4's I've ever had, and I've had Rockfords and Polks. Surprising amount of bass from such a small speaker, I don't think you'll do better than this in a 5 1/4. I still have a sub to fully round out the sound, but these sound darn good on their own.

Pros: Good sound, good bass, nice grills

Cons:

Worth the money

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I finally replaced the stock speakers and head unit in my 2002 F150 and I couldn't be happier with the Morels. The sound is outstanding, even without amplification. Install was fast and easy thanks to the free wiring harness and adapter plate.

Pros: Great sound, easy install

Cons: None

Outstanding

These are fantastic. I A/B'd them against JL Audio and Alpine and these were by far the best sounding. Highly recommended and at a very reasonable price. Quality amplification definitely helps. I am very picky about my audio and these pass the test with flying colors.

Cons:

Clear and Punchy!

Another great product recommendation from Crutchfield! These can take some serious power and still maintain clear voices and punchy bass. Worth every penny and was a serious upgrade from the stock speakers from my Honda.

Pros: Clear, punch bass, easy install. Morel is standing up to it's name.

Cons: None

Good over all speaker. Amazing for the price. They fit well and are easy to install. Very clear high end, and decent bass.

Cons:

Very good sound quality

John from Minneapolis, MN on 12/6/2016

Very good speakers for someone wanting to upgrade in limited space on a budget. Smooth treble, natural sounding male voices, and good build quality distinguish these from most other speakers in their price range. Keep in mind that 70W isn't a ton of power, and you won't get deep bass out of any 5 1/4" speaker (although it sounds like one reviewer had a bad experience, it's likely due to bad installation rather than a bad pair of speakers if it affects both channels).

Pros: Sound quality, value

Cons: Hard to get any bass out of any 5 1/4" speaker

Should have stayed with factory set up

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Loud when they want to be. Bought these for all 4 of my door speakers in my 2010 Ford Focus, as well as the recommended amp (JL 400/4D). Sounded great when I had them installed at a local shop bit soon started acting up. Clipping in and out when the gain on the amp was barely at a quarter of its power. Turning the gain up made them sound garbled and very distorted. Tech at another shop ( there are many of them in my area) said that they sounded like they could handle the power that they are rated for and that I should look into getting something else.

Pros: Reasonable price

Cons: Over rated power handling.

Nice speakers, well built but nothing special. They are over priced for the quality and sound.

Pros: Well built

Cons: over priced
