No matter how many car audio installations I do, listening to really nice car speakers brings a certain thrill that never goes away — it's all about that moment when I hear something totally new in an old favorite song. You can count on Morel to deliver the thrills, and their Maximo Ultra Series gives you every bit of Morel's excellence and passion for sound at their most affordable price point.

The external crossover delivers an ideal blend of the highs and lows for an incredible stereo image. Morel also includes mounting solutions for ideal tweeter placement.

Morel Maximo Ultra 602 reviews
First time buying these, and they are awesome! They really come alive amped.

Overall great sounding speaker. Highs are rich, clean and lots of detail and the low end is tight with good extension. My only gripe is that they are a little weak in the upper bass/lower mid frequencies, so if you like rock music you might have to throw a little EQ at it to bring out the guitar and drums.
Pros: Morel makes good speakers for the price.
Cons: The metal clamp piece that is used to hold the surface mount tweeter in place is not very robust, but a bit of epoxy will fix that.

These Speakers are amazing !!!. They have provided a huge upgrade to the sound with a standard factory head unit which is just decent ...not the best ... well defined bass, clear mids and crisp highs even with no extra sound treatment to door panels Definately recommend these !
Pros: Excellent Sound Quality - bass, mids and Highs

Installed these in my 2012 Corolla LE and couldn't be happier with the crisp, clean sound. Zero distortion with volume maxed with 45 watt alpine amp...could probably go with a more powerful one as these babies can handle 90 watts. I'll definitely use Morel to upgrade my 6" × 9" rear speakers now. Thanks Crutchfield.
Pros: Deep, clean, crisp sound.

I have had these speakers in my system for about two weeks now. I am powering them with a Rockford prime 300.4 (50wattsx4). For being an entry level speaker I am very satisfied with them. They have a good natural sound. I have my doors well sound deadened and they are able to produce a fairly good mid bass. Things like bass guitar and drum fills sound much better than a stock system. They will not make it sound like you have a sub if you don't. The tweeters are fairly mellow. I don't mean this in a negative way. I think these tweeters are perfect for my ear. They are bright but not harsh or piercing to me. I have them in my stock location a pillar and have them aimed vaguely at the center of my sunroof. I am currently using the passive crossovers and using a audison bit ten d to do my tuning and time alignment. For being a entry level speaker in a passive set up I am happy with the performance for the money. I think I will upgrade them when I am ready to go fully active and really go to the next level. but if your not a crazy audiophile these are imo one of the better options for the 250 and under crowd. Like I said I am giving them 50 watts per side right now and they sound very clear at full volume but at lower volume I get the feeling they could use just a little more. If you are building a system around this speaker I would plan on using something around the 75watt at 4 ohm range.
Pros: Good quality for price. Crossovers are small offering many places to hide them.
Cons: Crossover do not have any adjustment.

I've been into the car stereo since the 80's and have tried all the big, major brands and after reading some reviews on these speakers I decided to give them a try and I was extremely pleased with them. The highs aren't harsh like some can be, they are soo smooth and relaxed, the vocals are great and I've heard things in songs I haven't heard before. The base is responsive and on point and with proper tuning they did exactly what I needed them to do. I have them running off a Pioneer 4 channel amp put out 40 watts a channel. I also have a pair of models 6x9 in the rear deck of my 98 Honda Accord and these sets of speakers turned out great, way better than expected. I'd definitely recommend these speakers.
Pros: Great overall sound and performance
Cons: None so far

Very full sound filled the car. Solid bass, but especially wonderful clear rich highs. I understood lyrics I've never understood before in songs I've heard thousands of time. Also, the highs never felt shrill. Sometimes with other speakers, I've turned down the highs because they can get painful. Not with these. I put them in a 2018 Subaru Forester with just the basic head and a Kenwood 70 watt per channel two channel amp. (I ignored the rear speakers since I listen to music only when I'm alone.) If anyone is curious, yes you can put component tweeters in the tweeter spot on the dash of a 2018 Subaru Forester. You just have to make a strap to mount them below where the stock tweeters would go, but there is plenty of room, and you have to run your own wire to the crossover. The wire you'll find in the tweeter location appears to go to the same wire that runs the door speakers.
Pros: great full sound lows to highs

I'm 50 years old and have been into car audio since I was 17. I no longer stick to just buying from the big brand companies which has led me to some very satisfying purchases for my home audio. So now it was time to try something new for my car audio. I had never heard of Morel but I hit their website after seeing their speakers on Crutchfield. I decided to give them a try and installed them myself. Its very, very important to add sound deadening to your doors. Here are my thoughts...Morel's attention to the detail of the design and build quality is what 1st caught my eye. Let's move on to how they sound. They sound absolutely awesome, alive, refreshing with detail that makes you pay attention to each instrument that is playing in your music. They have very nice bass at low and medium levels. They are not subwoofers so don't expect booming bass. Zero problems with the vocal output. What really is the true character of these speakers are the tweeters. I've never heard a tweeter so smooth and refreshing before. The tweeters sparkle and delight without any harshness. I'm feeding them 75 clean RMS watts and my doors are sound insulated. I love these speakers and would highly recommend them. Only buy them if you are going to use an amplifier as that is what brings out the punch and detail as they were meant to be heard.
Pros: I never knew how important a smooth, highly detailed tweeter can make your music so alive and happy. No ear fatigue at all. Nice job Morel.
Cons: I didn't know about Morel until now
