Next-level sound quality

Morel designed their Tempo Ultra Integra Series car speakers for car audio fans who want flawless sonic performance with high power handling. As with every Morel speaker, you'll experience a rare level of audio excellence, thanks to their passion for sound and their insistence that every Tempo Ultra Integra speaker be tested to meet their premium standards.

Superb sound

This Morel Tempo Ultra 602 Integra 6-1/2" 2-way car speaker redefines the concept of woofer and tweeter in one basket. To improve time alignment, the recessed soft dome tweeter is aligned with the paper composite woofer cone itself, eliminating phase problems for a more natural, uncolored sound. This "point source" design offers the added benefit of allowing these speakers to fit in more vehicles.

Handles up to 110 watts RMS

Morel also includes a built-in crossover to give you an ideal blend of the highs and lows for an incredible stereo image. And with power handling up to 110 watts RMS, you'll do just fine powering these speakers with your car stereo, but you'll get maximum performance if you power them with an aftermarket amplifier.

Grilles are not included; the factory grilles should be suitable for most applications.

Not perfect, but solid for the money

The midbass is excellent and you can run them down to 60hz without issue, and you should do that to bring everything up front. If do, then I would recommend investing in some sound deadening though or will likely have resonance/rattles. To me the highs are as transparent as you could possibly make them, which is my preference. My only real complaint is with the midrange, it has excellent clarity and detail, but it's not as smooth as the rest of it. My initial impression was "harsh", but some quality time with the EQ and break in has changed that to "not as smooth as the rest of it". Minor complaint is the imaging is not clearly defined with how I can position the speakers. That said, it is tall and nicely off the floor, sufficiently that people assume I also have pillar mounted speakers. Also, these will do better with power. First tried them with a 40 watt RMS amp that I wanted to use for it's compactness, but as soon as I tested with the 100 watt RMS one, I knew it was staying.

Pros: Almost everything

Cons: Midrange doesn't measure up to the lows and highs. Unfortunately, that's the most important part.

Fantastic rear deck speakers

What I have: Honda Accord EX 2018, factory radio, Alpine 70x amplifier, virtus 602 front, and tempo ultra integra rear. Everything looks factory. Zero distortion. Perfect highs and mids, and good enough base. The tempo ultra integra 602 sound amazing at the rear of my car. I found no need to get component speakers for the rear, as I do not need to have the tweeter anywhere else, other than next to the woofer. And as for a crossover built as a separate component, I am not sure if the sound quality would matter much, as most of the sound comes from the front speakers, which I bought a fantastic component speakers, the tempo virtus 602. I could not ask for a better sounding system.

Pros: Sound Size Can handle high RMS

I paired these with a Morel component set to round out my new system. These speakers are very strong performers. The bass is excellent, but they have really outperformed my expectations in all areas.

Pros: High quality and excellent performance

Cons: Large for their nominal size - may require cutting off tabs on your mounting bracket

These are amazing speakers. These replaced my factory speakers in the front of my F-150 and I could not be happier with the sound and imaging from these speakers. I can't wait to get an amp to them soon and really see what these speakers can do. Now these won't fit normally but a buddy of mine built up a couple of MDF adaptors so they would fit and I could not be happier. I have had Morel and Focal speakers in the past and for my ear I prefer the Morel speakers.

Pros: Great sound right out of the box and installation was a breeze

Cons: You will need to add an aftermarket amp to really get these speakers to truly sing.

Purchased these to replace a set of Alpine type R coaxels in the rear of my vehicle. Have not installed them yet but confident after all the research I've done they are exactly what I'm looking for. The Alpines are great speakers but IMO they don't sound clear at lower a lower volume, also seem a little bright for my taste. These Morals should fit the system I'm attempting to achieve. Plan on replacing the front Alpine components with the Moral Virtus 602 when I win the lottery (haha), hopefully by this summer.

Outstanding speakers

Used these to replace a set of JL Audio C2 650x's, one of which had blown. Outstanding speakers. Smoother, clearer, with better bass response than the JL's in the exact same setup/environment. Fairly pricey, but you get what you pay for; worth every penny. And Crutchfield's customer service is phenomenal; second to none.

Pros: Clarity Smoothness Bass response for 6 1/2's

Cons: Fairly pricey

Features

Time Aligned Structure: The recessed tweeter is concentrically aligned with the woofer cone, so sound radiates from the same point for both. This minimizes phase error and allows the sound field to be constant in all directions, improving time alignment.

Size Classification Note: Some manufacturers, including Morel, call this size speaker a 6-1/2". Because it requires a larger cutout than a standard 6-1/2" speaker, Crutchfield has traditionally referred to this size woofer as a 6-3/4". Please enter your vehicle information to confirm fit.

Customer Q&A

3 questions already asked

Q
Looking to run these as rear fills at 50watts each and will be turning them up to about 50watts commonly. What is the reccomended high pass for these for the volume I am using them at? I want as much bass as they can handle without distorting at 50watts. I know they go down to 50hz but am not sure they can actually handle that sort of bass, with vocals, at 50watts. I know 80hz is a good general starting point but I want to know about what these speakers can specifically handle instead. I already bought them from you guys and am trying to figure the crossover freq.

A
The 80Hz crossover point, a THX standard, is usually chosen because human hearing becomes unidirectional around and below that point. There is usually a very limited benefit, if any, in crossing over lower than that.

I'm afraid there is no "one size fits all" high-pass filter setting recommended for the Morel Tempo Ultra 602 Integra speakers. This will be set according to your own personal tastes and/or system preferences. For more personalized info on what filter setting will work best for you, please feel free to contact an Advisor directly by phone (888.955.6000) or online chat; they'll be happy to go over that in more detail with you. Thanks!

Q
are there grills with these?
[ Vernon  Sep 18, 2017 ]

A
No, the grills must be purchased separately.
[ Collin  Sep 19, 2017 ]
Q
if speakers say handles up to 110 watts RMS (220 watts peak power) what size amp should I look for? I was looking at focal 4.600 to run these but that says 150w per channel. Would that blow these morels?
[ jason  Mar 24, 2017 ]
2 answers
A
generally speaking, too much power won't blow speakers, but distortion will. Also an amp that says it puts out 150w per channel means at full gain it'll deliver 150 watts. It's a good idea to stay close to recommended RMS power for the speakers, but if you deliver a clean signal, keep the gain under 100% and don't crank the head unti you should easily be able to double RMS power to these speakers and keep them happy a long time.
[ Aaron  Apr 03, 2018 ]
A
You can adjust the gain on your amp. It would be a good fit, lots of clean power. It took me 500w rms to blow one.
