About the Brandmotion 9002-6117

Connect your two cameras to one video input

You want to use three cameras — a rear-view, a side-view, and a front-view — but your car stereo has only one video input. Brandmotion's 9002-6117 mobile video switcher allows you to connect up to three cameras to your video monitor. When you place your vehicle in reverse, your rear-view camera's signal will trigger this switcher to send video to your in-dash receiver. Shift out of reverse, and you'll have your choice of camera sources, like Brandmotion's 5000-CA6 Curb Alert Park View PRO.

This is perfect solution for adding multiple backup, front, & side cameras to your aftermarket head unit that only features one composite video camera input.

Pass-Through & Trigger Inputs: One of the female composite video inputs (labeled "Backup Camera") is a dedicated pass-through input, while the other two female composite inputs (labeled "Right Camera" & "Left Camera") are triggered by +12-volts.

Wiring Harness: The included harness features three wire leads - Black (Ground), White/Blue (Right Trigger), & White/Red (Left Trigger).

Customer Q&A

1 question already asked

Q
Are side view cameras activated when turn signal is used like how the reverse camera is activated when car is in reverse? Or do you have to access the other 2 cameras through the aftermarket headunit?

A
This device selects a camera based on voltage applied to its control wires. You can use a switch or relays to activate the inputs. I use a small plc to read inputs from the backup lights and turn signal. The plc selects the camera based on those inputs and feeds to video to the head until along with a signal telling the head unit to display the camera on the screen (normally the reverse light).
