The Coastal Source 8.0 Mini Ellipse Bollard speaker looks good and sounds great as part of an outdoor sound system. Its 6-1/2" woofer and 1" pivoting titanium tweeter deliver rich, satisfying mids and highs, and its sleek form factor lets it blend in next to the garden, patio, or pool.
It can be mounted freestanding, partially buried, or above ground with an optional landscape stake. Screw holes in the base allow for secure surface mounting.

Overview: The Coastal Source 8.0 2-Way Mini Ellipse Bollard is a full-range speaker designed for in-ground and above-ground installations where directional sound is desired with a simplistic contemporary style.
Construction: The 8.0 Mini Ellipse Bollard 2-way speaker features a 6.5" woofer and a 1" Titanium dome tweeter with an articulating mount that lets you aim the tweeter for optimum performance. Both drivers are housed in a durable fiberglass enclosure designed for outdoor use. The Mini Ellipse Bollard can provide a wide 120˚ of sound dispersion that can cover between 50 and 150 sq. ft. of listening area.
Power & Connections: The 8.0 Mini Ellipse Bollard features a pair of male CC (Coastal Connector) input connectors for connection to an amplifier. The Mini Ellipse Bollard can handle 25W - 100W (maximum). Coastal Connection cables (sold separately) feature threaded connector-ends designed to provide a watertight connection that's rated for direct-burial.
Installation: The 8.0 Mini Ellipse Bollard speaker can be either landscape or hardscape installed. For landscape installations, the speaker can be installed in-ground with the woofer and mid/tweeter grilles exposed. Optional Landscape Stakes and a Theft Guard (both sold separately) can be used to mount the speaker above-ground while maintaining a stable installation. The 8.0 Mini Ellipse Bollard can also be hardscape mounted to flat surfaces. Optional Isolation Spikes (sold separately) allow the speaker to safely sit on a hard surface, while a Hardscape Mount bracket (sold separately) allows the speaker to sit inside a recessed mounting area of a flat surface.

It would have been nice to know the speakers needed special 2 pin cables which were ordered later at $20 per cable. For outdoor speakers the stakes for the ground were not included that were $50 each per speaker. Transparency would have been nice
