NOT RECOMMENDED

NOT RECOMMENDED. Simply far too many false positives. Also, the use case for this product is only for vehicles APPROACHING in the blind spot, which is major caveat to consider. If, for example, someone moves over from a farther lane into your blind spot, you will receive no alert or notification. The worst part, however, is the alerts constantly going off for vehicles that are not present, even while driving at speed (+40 MPH). This may train the driver to ignore the alerts, which is frankly worse than not having it all.
Pros:
Cons: Too many false positives for vehicles not in the blind spot.

Great aftermarket unit for blind spot monitoring
Crutchfield customer from Sammamish, WA on 7/14/2019
Great unit with well made hardware and wiring. System was easy to set up and is quite sensitive to blind spot traffic. Required one small drill behind license plate to route wires but way better than drilling holes into bumpers unlike other units.
Pros: Well made unit, cross traffic sensitivity is great, flush mounted LED lights - this is a keeper!
Cons: Uses GPS to connect to satellites to get speed tracking etc. There is a small delay (~20 seconds) after leaving a closed garage for GPS to connect to satellites before the unit is operational.
