More details on the Gentex ADVGEN20A
Overview: The Gentex ADVGEN20A is a rearview mirror designed to replace the factory rearview mirror and provide automatic dimming at night, outside temperature, and a compass. The ADVGEN20A uses the factory mounting base and is compatible with most vehicle's mirror mounts.
Auto-Dimming: The ADVGEN20A has a built-in forward-looking light sensor that will automatically dim the mirror when headlights are detected.
Compass: The Gentex replacement mirror features a small window in the upper right corner of the mirror for displaying the current compass heading as well as the outside temperature. Once the mirror is installed and powered on, a quick calibration sequence will get the compass properly oriented for use.
Temperature: The included temperature sensor gets mounted to the back of the front bumper to provide the mirror with the outside temperature. A 16.5' wire harness that's attached to the sensor gets run to the mirror and is terminated with two pinned wires that get inserted into the corresponding slots on the mirror's 7-pin power/ground harness.
