Product Research

Features

Overview: The Gentex ADVGENADLN is a frameless rearview mirror designed to replace the factory rearview mirror and provide automatic dimming at night and HomeLink integration. The ADVGENADLN uses the factory mounting base and is compatible with most vehicle's mirror mounts.

Auto-Dimming: The ADVGENADLN has a built-in forward-looking light sensor that will automatically dim the mirror when headlights are detected.

HomeLink: Another key feature of the ADVGENADLN is its compatibility with HomeLink enabled devices. HomeLink is one of the most widely used vehicle-based wireless control systems used to conveniently open and close garage doors and property gates, activate and deactivate home security systems, and turn on or off interior or exterior lighting and electronics. The ADVGENADLN includes 3 buttons that can be easily programmed for HomeLink compatible features such as these.

Q
My 1998 Rav4 does not have a window mount, the rear view mirror is anchored to the roof. Is there an adapter that will allow me to mount this mirror to my vehicle?
[ ReneM  Jun 11, 2020 ]
1 answer
A
Not that we carry. That Gentex mirror is designed to mount on a standard, windshield cleat. If yours is a roof mount it will likely not work.

Q
is this compatible with 2016 caravan ?
[ giovanni james  Nov 30, 2018 ]
1 answer
A
The mirror isn't vehicle-specific. It works in most vehicles with a standard mirror mount provided the stock mirror does not have built-in electronics of it's own (compass, Onstar, etc.). You can view the owner's manual with it's installation instructions by clicking the link for it under the "What's in the box" heading on the mirror's main webpage. Q
Will this fit a 2017 Toyota Tacoma? Is it plug and play?
[ Evan  May 05, 2018 ]
1 answer
A
It fit my 2018 camry from what I have seen, it is identical in the mounting. There is another frameless one but the mirror will touch the ceiling. THIS IS THE RIGHT MODEL! Plug and play, kind of. You run a cable down the headliner and pillar, tuck it behind the rubber (it's a 2 minute process). Then you grab constant power, ground, and switched power from anywhere else in your car (no yellow airbag plugs) and you're go to go. Best place for power is the fuse box, you will see constant power and switched power in every fuse box, ground can be from a ground wire (like the lighter plug) or from bare metal. It should take about 15 to 30 minutes for the whole install including the homelink programming. As an awesome bonus, my garage door sends the status of going up or down to the mirror, the mirror has arrows displaying which direction. It also works at a few hundred feet more than my regular clicker.
