Its built-in FM transmitter beams the sound to your vehicle's radio, or you can enjoy peace and quiet up front as your passengers listen through optional wired or wireless headphones.

Versatile inputs

This headrest monitor can accommodate the music and movies you've stored on a thumb drive, or you can pipe in HD video with an HDMI-connected device. An auxiliary input lets you plug in almost any type of audio source, and MHL compatibility even lets you mirror an Android device's screen. And, if you're into "old school," the built-in DVD/CD player lets you enjoy all those classics that have been sitting on the shelf at home.

A natural fit

This headrest monitor comes with an assortment of support tube adapters to ensure it'll fit in your vehicle properly. The package also includes black, pewter, and shale colored headrest covers so you can pick the look that matches your interior best.

Important Note: This replacement headrest is not for use with the active headrest system found in some vehicles. Replacing such a headrest system could increase the chances of injury in the event of an accident, and may void your vehicle's warranty.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

There are numerous products like this from no-name companies for less than half the price available on other websites. I decided to spend a little more and go with this Audiovox product, because I assumed it would be higher quality. I've been mostly disappointed. First, I will say that the product was relatively easy to install in my Honda Odyssey. However, one of the main reasons I chose this product was because it was that it advertised that it had an SD card slot. I assumed I would be able to load up an SD card with dozens of movies and not have to worry about DVD's laying all over the car. After purchasing an SD card I realized the unit does Not have an SD card slot. Next I thought I could at least do the same thing with a USB drive, even though it would be sticking out of the bottom of the headrest. I bought a 64GB USB drive only to find out the unit would not recognize it. I had an 8GB drive laying around that the unit will recognize, but that will only hold a few movies. Also, if you want to connect the units so that one of them will play what's on the other one, you will have to buy an RCA cable. It seems like for whatever reason the software on these in-car DVD players just stopped progressing 10 years ago. You can buy a Kindle Fire tablet for a lot less and the user experience is light years better than this expensive system. I decided not to return the product because I had already installed both of them, but I would recommend saving your money with a cheap one online.

Pros: Easy to install.

Cons: No SD card slot, limited USB card capacity, RCA cables not included.

Pros: Comes with different colors to match interior and was a breeze to install them

Cons: My headrest are no longer adjustable in my F350. Didn't need them to be anyways but FYI only

Sorry dont know [ Jorge  May 08, 2018 ]
The Pioneer AVH-4200NEX features a composite video jack and 3.5mm audio jack to output AV signals to the Audiovox AVXMTGHR90HD head rest monitors. Using the Pioneer as an input source would also give you full control over the audio/video playing through the monitors. The remote is infrared so, it does require "line of sight" to the sensor at the base of the monitor. [ Ryan  Apr 04, 2018 ]  Staff
We don't have any adapters that allow this aftermarket headrest monitors to be wired in place of factory ones. The best we might be able to do is give the stock radio an aux audio input so that the audio from these can be played through all the speakers. If that setup can work for you, then I recommend calling an advisor on 1-800-324-9695 to see if we can give your stock radio an aux audio input My Bio: [ Paul  Apr 04, 2018 ]  Staff

If your existing overhead video monitor system has either a composite (RCA) or HDMI video output, you can connect that to one of the available video inputs on the Audiovox AVXMTGHR9HD. I hope that helps. My Bio: [ Larry  Feb 17, 2016 ]  Staff
Purchasing this item you would get one headrest monitor and it has the dvd player built in. You can purchase two units and connect them together. Each monitor can play their own video or using the supplied cables you can connect them together and watch the same DVD on both monitors. Hope that helps. [ Kenny  Jan 16, 2016 ]  Staff
Yes. The monitor requires 12volt switched (ACC) power and ground connections. The factory fuse panel is the best place to get the power lead connected. I hope that helps! [ Ryan  Dec 03, 2015 ]  Staff
