Turn anything with a headphone jack into a Bluetooth device
Turn anything with a headphone jack into a Bluetooth device
Here's a handy life hack for those of who primarily use Bluetooth headphones, but have gear without Bluetooth connectivity. The Paww WaveCast Bluetooth transmitter can connect to a TV, sound system, game consoles/controllers, computer, tablet, and anything else with a 3.5mm minijack. Then, it sends audio signals wirelessly to your headphones via Bluetooth 5.0 — the strongest and most reliable version of Bluetooth yet.
This compact, battery-powered transmitter features two retractable miniplugs for easy transport. A full charge can get you up to 10 hours of wireless use for music, podcasts, movies, or shows.
The Paww WaveCast Bluetooth transmitter features retractable 3.5mm miniplugs for connecting to devices and in-flight entertainment systems.
Watch movies and shows on the plane
The WaveCast even lets you use your Bluetooth headphones with an airplane in-flight entertainment system. Just fold out one or both of the two retractable 3.5mm miniplugs, depending on your application. The single (stereo) miniplug works for most devices, but the dual (left and right mono) miniplug configuration connects to most in-flight entertainment systems.
And the WaveCast can also send audio wirelessly to two sets of headphones simutaneously. That means two people can watch the same show or movie. (Note that pairing the Bluetooth devices can be a little tricky the first time, since there is no screen involved. But Paww includes detailed instructions, and we offer lifetime Tech Support on all products purchased at Crutchfield.)
Extended wireless range and low latency
Paww uses a high-grade Bluetooth 5.0 chipset and built-in wireless signal amplifier. This helps reduce audio hiccups and gives you up to 100 feet of wireless range (line of site).
This transmitter also includes aptX™ Low Latency, a wireless technology that keeps the audio and video in better sync. With compatible Bluetooth headphones, it helps minimize the "dubbed movie" effect — when a character's speech doesn't match the movement of their mouth.
Just keep in mind that the wired connection to your TV or other devices can also cause sync issues. Fortunately, most televisions have settings and adjustments for you to correct them.

More details on the Paww WaveCast
WaveCast Bluetooth Audio Transmitter: The WaveCast Bluetooth audio transmitter is an ideal companion for your wireless Bluetooth headphones or speakers and a must-have travel accessory. The WaveCast is perfect for connecting wireless headphones or speakers to a source device that doesn't have Bluetooth connectivity and is specially designed for in-flight entertainment systems.
Bluetooth 5.0 with Built-In Amplifier: The WaveCast is equipped with Bluetooth 5.0 technology and features a built-in amplifier that delivers a wireless audio range up to 100' with clear line of sight. In real world applications, like in a home or office building where there are walls and structures, you can expect a wireless audio range of up to 33'.
Bluetooth aptX: The WaveCast Bluetooth audio transmitter has aptX built-in to allow for wireless CD-quality stereo sound with low latency. aptX offers a lightning-fast latency speed of only 34 milliseconds which virtually eliminates lagging audio, so you'll never miss a second of the action. Visual elements are synced in real-time to deliver an immersive audio experience. The WaveCast also supports Bluetooth's standard SBC codec and Apple's AAC codec for wireless audio transmission.
Note: Your Bluetooth wireless headphones or speakers must also support aptX to take advantage of low latency and CD-quality sound.
Dual Link Connection: The WaveCast Bluetooth audio transmitter allows you to connect and wirelessly stream audio simultaneously to two headphones or two speakers (follow the pairing instructions in the User Guide). The WaveCast will automatically reconnect with previously paired headphones and speakers.
3.5mm Output: The WaveCast Bluetooth audio transmitter can connect to almost any source device (such as your TV or an in-flight entertainment system) equipped with a 3.5mm output jack. The WaveCast is equipped with an analog stereo minijack (3.5mm) connector and an analog mono minijack (3.5mm) connector.
Rechargeable Battery: The WaveCast Bluetooth audio transmitter features a built-in, rechargeable lithium-ion battery (380mA) that delivers up to 10 hours of continuous wireless audio and reliable operation on a full charge. The rechargeable battery has a standby time of 400 hours. The built-in battery can be recharged using the included 6.75' microUSB-to-USB cable and a USB/AC power adapter (sold separately - see Accessories Tab). It 30 minutes to 2 hours to fully charge the battery (based on the power of your USB/AC power adapter). You can even use the WaveCast for Bluetooth wireless audio streaming as you are charging it.
- The WaveCast will automatically go into standby mode it if does not sense a connected Bluetooth headphone or speaker.
- The battery is built-in and non-replaceable.
