Features

Point Source Alignment: The recessed tweeter is concentrically aligned with the woofer cone, so sound radiates from the same point for both. This minimizes phase error and allows the sound field to be constant in all directions, improving time alignment.

Grille: The grille has a snap on trim ring that covers the mounting screws.

Mounting: The speaker baskets have multiple mounting holes and will easily fit standard 3-hole 6-1/2 applications and Ford's 4-hole 6-1/2 applications. They also have mounting ears to fit standard 4-hole 6-3/4 applications, but using a speaker baffle is recommended to seal the inner ring of screw holes.

I have these speakers in my 2002 Volkswagen and have a monsoon amp and they sound bad. I also have an aftermarket head unit. Is there a hardness I could get to by pass the amp??

Unfortunately Crutchfield does not sell simple bypass adapter for the factory amp at this time. All the wiring adapter retain the amp so you would have to manually bypass the amp if you are unable to find another adapter elsewhere.

Will I have to modify anything to get these to fit perfectly in the front doors on my 2005 Kia Optima with no gaps or rattle?

We do not have enough information about the available mounting depth with the back of the stock mounting bracket in place. Our measurements only confirm the depth once that back is cut off so its best to plan on that work when considering a speaker for the doors in your Optima.

It all depends on the design of the originals. If your stock speakers are 6-1/2 inches wide itll fit fine with no issues. I installed these into a 2017 nissan versa and had to buy an adapter that crutchfield offered with them. They are fantastic speakers.

The MTX Terminator6 is a coaxial set of speakers, that have the tweeter built into the center of the woofer cone. If you are interested in using a separately mounted tweeter, the MTX Terminator6S would be the set for you!

I would consult the advisor. You might void any warranties from MTX. They sound great and a big step up from the factory speakers.

I bought these and replaced them in a week. Didn't have a good sound so i bought infinity kappa and they are fantastic.

In my honest opinion no. I actually purchased them to replace the stock speakers in my Dart an was very disappointed. I wound up replacing those with some pioneer 6x9's. The MTX speakers would sound better behind an amp I'm sue.

Are these MTX Terminator6 better then the stock Bose speakers that come in the 2016 GMC Canyon?

It depends. The Bose system is best left untouched unless the Bose system stops working properly or you've pushed it to the limit and you aren't satisfied with the sound. The stock Bose system won't power these correctly so I always say it's all Bose or no Bose. If you replace any of the Bose components you might as well replace/bypass the whole Bose system. It's not going to sound right if it's mix and matched. The Bose system uses minimal power hints why the speakers are small and efficient. If you try powering these Terminator MTX's with a Bose factory amp it's the equivalent of putting Regular Unleaded in a Ferrari.
